Highland Fling 2026.

Another run up to Tyndrum, this time in some hot and humid conditions. Definitely some challenges thrown along the way especially the midgies. But overall, was a really good race to end the 2026 ultra season, and to get a 15 minute PB made it even more pleasing. Now for some rest and recovery before thinking about what’s next taken in Tyndrum by @mrdavemckay

Devil O’The Highlands 2026. 42ish miles from Tyndrum to Fort William taking in the most scenic part of the West Highland Way. This is slowly turning into one of my most favourite trails to run on, and when you see the backdrop that Scotland provides, it’s easy to understand why.

Probably the most comfortable I’ve felt in a race in a long time, and a really enjoyable day out. I suspect this is not the last I’ll be seeing of this one. Now onto some @whw_race crew duties and preparation for the first half in August for @flingrace taken in Fort William, Highland by @mrdavemckay

Highland Fling 2025. Milngavie to Tyndrum

One of the toughest days yet. Some calf niggles properly took its toll and made the run so much more tricky. A day of getting to the end rather than anything else but still managed to beat last years fine by a good 20 mins 🤷‍♂️

Devil o’ The Highlands 2024. Tyndrum to Fort William. Finishing off the West Highland Way after doing the first half in April. When you have an ultra that starts pretty much in your garden, sometimes you just have to go for it. Yesterday was the 2024 Highland Fling, Milngavie to Tyndrum, following the West Highland Way. A tough old race that didn’t quite pan out the way I’d hoped, but so much to take from it and the red carpet finish is something else!
