GEP, the Brazilian piercing conference, was a blast! Andre Fernandes, the organizer, had 200 copies of my book printed in Portuguese. Here I am signing copies. Drew and I had a great time chatting with attendees. The event was a major highlight of our trip! taken in Brazil by @mrgauntlet

Are throwback Thursdays still a thing? This photo was taken at Cliff Raven’s West Hollywood tattoo studio in about 1974. He had just put the finishing touches to my tattoo. Astrologically I was born in the sign of the crab, so I thought maybe that would work for the design. Cliff disagreed and thought it wouldn’t fit on the body very well. He had some art books that I browsed through and came across a woodblock print of a crayfish by the Japanese artist Kuniyoshi. My tattoo was taken from that print. Maybe not a crab, but close enough. taken in Hollywood by @mrgauntlet
