Gerard Love and Alex Rex play Sat 12th Dec... tickets now on sale (link in bio) 😍

We are super excited for this rare intimate show ... capacity is LIMITED!

Gerard Love is a Glasgow-based singer/songwriter, used to play bass and write songs in Teenage Fanclub, released a solo LP in 2012 under the name Lightships, has a new LP in the works to be released sometime in 2027. For this special show Gerard will be playing a stripped back, intimate set.

Alex Rex is the 'ghost-rock' project of Alex Neilson (Trembling Bells, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Shirley Collins, Current 93 et al). Inspired by Greek Tragedy, Barbara Streisand and Alex's own internal critic, Alex Rex perform songs of love, loss and loathing that make the detestable whistleable. taken in The Old Hairdressers by @mrgerardlove

Just spent three wonderful days supporting the brilliant @buffalotomband in Edinburgh, Manchester, and London. It was an absolute honour to be asked to open the shows, what a great bunch of guys with a load of great songs. Watching them play brought special moments of time-bending deja vu and twilight zone nostalgia from the last time we toured 30 odd years ago. For these shows it was just me and Tom Crossley doing the soft and twinkly thing. Had a couple of top class hipster breakfasts, in Manchester and London. Even got the chance to sing an old song of mine with Buffalo Tom each night, what a thrill! Thanks guys.

Here’s a great new LP by @thehangingstars , the fruits of a recording session I had the pleasure of attending last year up at Edwyn Collins’ Helmsdale studio. A great time and a great memory. Just A Day is available in all good record shops now! by @mrgerardlove
