KOILOS: EMPTINESS AND NEGATIVE SPACE published on C41 Magazine @C41MAGAZINE

A fashion story exploring softness, silence and sculptural femininity through minimal visual language.

KOILOS comes from the Greek word “κοῖλος” (koîlos), meaning “hollow,” “concave,” or “cavity.” The title reflects the project’s fascination with emptiness, negative space, and softness as a visual and emotional language.

Rather than presenting femininity as loud or performative, KOILOS explores it as something introspective, quiet, and sculptural. The body interacts with light, fabric, and architecture almost like an object inhabiting space: creating tension between presence and absence, fragility and structure.

The name also references the architectural background: the idea that emptiness itself can shape emotion, atmosphere, and form.
