Today, I had the honor of receiving my 2nd-degree from my brother and teacher, @vacabjjmma . It’s rare these days to say you started as a white belt with the same instructor, and I’m proud and grateful to share that journey with you, brother. Açoita!

Also, big thanks to @gonzagabjj for a great seminar as always! OSS!

When was the last time you got to learn Gi Jiu-Jitsu from a Columbia University All-American wrestler who took 3rd at the NCAA Championships?

On Friday, our team got to do just that.

A huge thank you to @_cesaralvan for making the trip and teaching an awesome seminar. Everyone picked up techniques they can start using right away.

A big thank you as well to Lucas and Pedro for making the trip and helping make the seminar a great experience.

On a personal note, this one meant a lot to me. I remember refereeing Cesar and Lucas when they were about 3–4 years old. Back then they were just little kids running around the mats. Now they’re great athletes, great people, and giving back by sharing what they’ve learned. That’s pretty cool to see.

Thanks again for spending Friday with us. We had a great time, learned a lot, and can’t wait to have you all back up!
