I am so incredibly thankful to my senseis and gym family who have helped me, taught me, and pushed me along to a better me I finally received my first stripe as a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner in fact two stripes! This is the second step along my journey to master myself and I can’t wait to step back on the mats. This was also my first day back in a Gi and it was very weird but I will definitely be wearing it again! I love this place😁 HARD WORK!

Jiu Jitsu;

To be short, this is the first sport I’ve ever participated in, let alone competed. I never would have thought a sport would make such a positive impact on so many aspects in my life. Thanks to everyone who trusted me to roll, went out of their way to help, extra drills, etc. I’m a fan of all my peers and you should be too. Time to build from here!

Battle of the wristlocks with Mark Lindars. Why would you ignore 0.05% of the body when it is so vulnerable?

These pictures came up on my FB memories “On this day” yesterday or the day before I believe from a few years back. Never forget who was in your corner when you needed them. Typing this from the same house these guys helped me put my family in a few years back #fbf #thankful #teammates #mma #bjj #muaythai #wrestling #kickboxing #jiujitsu #judo #bellator #bellatormma #teamlink

There’s a handful of people that I’ll put the pajamas back on for. @chokedealer and @bassin_yeti_2a_hd are two of them. These guys have been instrumental in my jiu jitsu development. Back in my white belt days Jay dedicated a week of his curriculum to help me prep for the @ibjjf Boston Open. When I asked him how much $ he wanted he replied “just bring me that gold medal”...and so I did. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Being part of a team means giving back. It was great being able to hand down some knowledge to my teammates tonight. I still feel so damn young, sometimes it feels strange to teach. I'm greatful for all of my teammates who help me prepare for my 15 minutes under the lights, and I am blessed to be able to give them guidance and direction on their journey. Their confidence in me, inspires me to be the best best version of myself. Through wins, through losses, through life. We got this shit.
