Do you play the 🎻 , 🎺, 📯 or another orchestral instrument?

Are you a member of the #umich medical, health or life sciences community (faculty, staff, student, resident, fellow, alumni, retiree or adult family member)?

Then this is the time to think about auditioning for the U-M Life Sciences Orchestra!

🎼 For 26 years, the LSO has brought together amateur musicians for Sunday evening rehearsals under the baton of exceptional @umichsmtd graduate students in conducting. This year, they're led by @mroest, who was recently named the LSO's Music Director after two seasons as assistant conductor.

🔗 If you or someone you know might be interested in joining the LSO, see the link in our bio to learn more about the audition process and sign up for a spot.

📆 If you're a music fan, mark your calendar for Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 pm for a free performance of Brahms' Symphony No. 2 and more at Hill Auditorium, and a spring concert on Thursday 4/29, also at 7:30 p.m. at Hill.

The LSO is part of our Gifts of Art program, which offers many ways for our patients, visitors, faculty, staff and learners to engage with the arts. image of an orchestra on stage with the words Calling all orchestra musicians in the U-M health and life sciences community!
