@iprideorchestra 2026 🌈💖 It was an absolute honor to be in the presence of so many other queer musicians, allies, and community members to kick off my Pride month. Thank you @mroest & the IPO team for creating such a beautiful space to create music, let loose, heal, and subvert the typical orchestral experience in thee most glorious, badass way possible — beyond grateful.

A few weeks ago, I had the unexpected joy of returning to the stage to play percussion with the @iprideorchestra in Houston for its 2026 Pride Celebration Concert, and what a fantastic experience it was!

I always love working with the incredible leadership and conducting team of @mroest , @rmoody2may , @lukespence.trumpet , and @brandesmusic , and it was such a pleasure to rehearse, perform, and connect with so many friendly, talented, and welcoming musicians and people. The evening was brilliantly hosted by @thepeacheschrist , and the extraordinary artistry of @alsoanoperasinger made an already special concert even more memorable. The music was exciting, the atmosphere was celebratory and uplifting, and the sense of connection both onstage and off was truly inspiring.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful organization and for all of the amazing people who made this experience so memorable. I’m looking forward to the next time I cross paths with everyone!

What an incredible Pride celebration in Houston!

Thank you to everyone who helped make IPO’s concert at the Wortham Center such a tremendous success. Bravo to conductors Michael Roest, Christine Brandes, Robert Moody, and Anthony Morris for leading a phenomenal orchestra; to the incomparable Peaches Christ for hosting; and to the extraordinary Davóne Tines for lending his powerful artistry and voice to this unforgettable evening.

Thank you to our musicians, volunteers, partners, donors, and audience members for making this celebration of queer joy, community, and music possible.

To say we’ve been busy this Pride month is a bit of an understatement. Such an incredible opportunity to perform with my new friends of the @iprideorchestra and to make such meaningful connections with so many amazing humans!

Another year with International Pride Orchestra playing with some of the loveliest people. And being reminded of why #pride month means so much.

One of my favorite parts of Pride is the traditions that have grown out of working with Frameline, San Francisco Pride, the SF Giants, and the International Pride Orchestra.

Last night was IPO’s fourth annual concert, and one of the greatest joys has been getting to know the musicians. Some are new each year, while others have been there since the beginning, like violinists Jimmy Nguyen and Nigel Le, pictured here with me across all four years.

They’ve even created their own IPO tradition: heading to Pokémon GO Fest together after the concert each year. I love seeing the friendships and community that grow from this orchestra. Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈🎻
