When the defender’s face hits the ground 😳 My favorite video from last year’s national championship (@ethanjbrownn). @peaksacademy begins their title defense today at the Regional Athletic Complex in North Salt Lake. The best touch rugby teams in the country come to Utah for the first time! by @mrperkenergy

He is, in fact, my son. Training with the youngs keeps me humble. I won’t be playing at nationals this year as I rehab ruptured pec tendon, but training with @peaksacademy keeps me sharp. So excited to see the teams perform at @usatouch national championships. @ethanjbrownn @perkenergy by @mrperkenergy

Being present for your grandkids is a non-negotiable. And still competing in my 60s allows me to model lifelong fitness to my children and grandkids. @befree.rena @perkenergy by @mrperkenergy

Maybe next year is my year. Two ruptured tendons, two surgeries and two rehabs have kept me from some of my favorite activities. But they don’t keep me from working out, enjoying family and friends and being the best grandpa I can be.

UPDATE: apparently I’m undiagnosable! Hopefully I’ll be able to get answers from the PT. In the meantime, let’s name my new tendon friend! @perkenergy by @mrperkenergy

I’ve never seen my girl work so hard and be so happy. She was truly glowing!
Wish I could’ve filmed Hamlet and Troilus & Cressida, you need to go see them. All 3 Greenshows are free! She does all 5 performances every single week through the summer. Who’s coming with me in August?
The only thing to make this weekend better would be more kids & grandkids 🫶🏼 taken in Utah Shakespeare Festival by @mrperkenergy
