A year and a half ago, doctors told us our son would never play sports again. Every specialist said the same thing. We heard “never” more times than I can count.

Today, he stepped back onto that field for his first game.

I watched him run. I watched him laugh with his teammates. I watched every single day of fighting, every hard conversation, every moment we weren’t sure this day would come, all of it standing right there on that grass in a jersey.

Doctors know medicine. They don’t know what God has planned.

We prayed. We believed. And God carried us through every step of this journey when we didn’t think we could take another one.

So proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. This kid is proof that with God, “never” is just someone’s best guess, not a promise. ❤️⚽ Glory to God for this moment.#cobalamincdeficiency #raredisease by @mrs.ericav
