My sweetest Beefy boy... from the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were meant to be with us. The last couple of years as your fospice mama were filled with so much joy and laughter... and awe of what a brave and resilient boy you were throughout all of the ailments your beautiful body and soul didn't deserve. I am so sorry we couldn't heal you. I am the luckiest person to have been your human. I will carry you in my heart forever!!!! I already miss the comforting sound of your snores, your tiny little ears, your snuggly, wrinkly face--always gracing us with your tongue at full display, and the little grunts you made when you wanted attention. You never lost your passion for food and your zest for life. We love you more than you will ever know, my amazing little boy. Thank you for giving me the honor of being your human. Rest in peace my sweet baby. Your soul is free now. My heart aches. by @mrsbugenhagen

The hardest thing about having pets is losing them. For the second time in a year, we are faced with tremendous loss. We choose to adopt and foster elderly and/or hospice babies, so we go into it knowing we don't have much time, but it NEVER gets easier. We were the luckiest people ever to have had our beautiful Rocky boy in our lives for 2 years, having foster failed and adopted him when he was 13. We already miss you and will love you forever and ever our sweet and happy boy... you brought us so much happiness. Rocky had been rescued by @thepittiepartyofcentralflorida from an abusive situation. He had never been walked and never been shown love. He was scared of any sudden movements and would drop to the ground as if ready to get hit. We quickly fell for him and adopted him, determined to make up for lost time with showing him the love he should have had all along. Watching him experience joy in all things for the first time was such an honor and gift. Thank you to Dr Dena for helping him exit this life peacefully, surrounded by our love and in our home. We love you sweet boy, run free and send our love to Lulu, Charlie, Lola, Buiscuit, Buddy and Snickers. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ by @mrsbugenhagen

We will love you forever, our sweet Lulu bear. You were literally the perfect doggie and we are the luckiest humans for having had you in our lives. You were such an important and integral part of our family and it doesn't feel right without you here. Thank you @scars.pet for rescuing her from Seminole County shelter and bringing her into our lives right before the pandemic hit. We cannot imagine life without her and are truly and utterly devastated. We adopted her at age 13 and she gave us 4 wonderful years. She had been doing so well for her age until the last couple of months and developed an infection this week. When we took her to the vet her temperature was 106. She was such a strong girl, we didn't catch any signs until it was too late. I'm so sorry Lulu, I feel like we failed you by not catching it sooner. She had literally gone to the vet for her 3rd Librela shot last week and it was the first shot they didn't do a routine full exam with that injection. There's so much pain and regret that it happened on month 3 and not month 2, since we may have caught her illness during the exam... but such is life and we will try to focus on the positive and focus on gratitude.

Chloe and her were truly connected at the hip and this is hitting her hard. Despite the grief and pain we're going through now, we are extremely grateful to Lulu for all the love, cuddles, laughs, pure sweetness and loyalty she gave us. I wish we could have kept her with us for many more years... I'm so sorry my Lulu bear, I wish we had been able to keep you comfortable longer. We adore and love you more than you will ever know. Our hearts hurt. We miss you every second. Please give my Canela baby, my beautiful Charlie boy, our sassy little Lola and my daddy cuddles for me, I miss all of you more than I can say. I encourage everyone to adopt not shop, they truly rescue us more than the other way around. And seniors are amazing. Love you my Lulu girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ by @mrsbugenhagen
