Last night FaithBridge Portland held our very first small donor gala! It was our COMING OUT party! We felt all the nerves as we quietly stepped into the spotlight, but once we arrived MAGIC HAPPENED! It was a beautifully elegant affair. FaithBridge staff worked so hard (thank you ladies ❤️), Art N Patricia Williams is a force of nature and made our vision flourish. The food from our caterer, @Brittnie with Cooking with Love, was DELICIOUS, and our DJ @Brandon Dean kept the vibe vibin’. A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS: @The Women’s Foundation of Oregon, Multnomah County Health Department, and @10th Avenue Liquor, as well as every one who attended, and those that DONATED! Grateful for all the beautiful pictures from our guests (because I couldn’t take hardly any at all!) Wow! More to come..🩷 by @mrslisasaunders

IMAGINE: It’s the last meal you’ll eat the day before you die. You choose to eat that meal with a group of people you’ve held close and love dearly.

You sit down at the table fully aware that one of the men across from you has stabbed you squarely in your back. He’s there though, enjoying the meal like he belongs. You say nothing and let him enjoy the meal.

As this is your departure dinner, you would expect all attention to be on you with lots of well wishes and gifts. However, you turn the tables. Instead of reveling in the moment you bend your knee and offer to wash the feet of these men you love. Even the one who had already betrayed you in an act that would lead to your death. You lower yourself and wash his feet anyway. Knowing all of it. This is how you chose to spend your last evening alive.

Lord, many of us wouldn’t be able to find it within ourselves to wash the feet of the “opp”, especially in the waning hours of our lives. What an example you are for us. ✝️💜 by @mrslisasaunders

HE’S CALLING MY NAME: Yesterday, I was blessed to bring the Word at church. I’ve been blessed to give the Word before, but yesterday I stepped on the pulpit really unsure and nervous. Some people would say that’s a bad thing, but it’s actually a good thing. God’s grace meets us in those very places. And it did! I witnessed God doing what He does best - minister to His people!
