Honored to be nominated once again for Cybersecurity Woman of the World 2026 🌍 Last year, being recognized in the Hacker of the Year category was an incredible moment for me. To now be nominated again on a global stage is both humbling and deeply motivating. As many of you know, I’m all about world domination — so being nominated for Cybersecurity Woman of the World feels very on brand. 😏 And while I’ve been a little quieter publicly during my sabbatical, I’ve still been building behind the scenes. I’m excited to also share that I was recently promoted to Director of Business Operations for a Fortune 25 company, where I now manage testing operations for an international team of more than 100 people. This season has reminded me that growth doesn’t always happen loudly. Sometimes it happens in the background — through consistency, resilience, leadership, and trusting yourself enough to keep going even when nobody is watching. Beyond the titles and recognition, this means something bigger to me. It’s a reminder that representation matters, excellence deserves visibility, and Black women belong in every room where cybersecurity, technology and business strategy are being shaped, challenged, and redefined. I’m grateful for every person who continues to support me, champion my work, and believe in the mission behind BlackGirlsHack and the BGH Foundation. None of this happens alone. To every person who has ever questioned whether they belong in this industry: keep going. We are not waiting for permission to lead — we already are. Thank you to Carmen Marsh and the Cybersecurity Woman of the Year organization for continuing to create spaces that celebrate women across the cybersecurity community worldwide. The mission for world domination continues. 🌎💻🖤 TLDR: Tennisha was nominated for CSWW Cybersecurity Woman of the World & was promoted to Director level position by @mrstennisha

No body talks about how hard it is to go from 80 degrees every day to 7 degrees and feels like -2. Celebrating another cycle around the sun with some of my best friends! This wouldn’t have been possible without husband @iamcreamcast colluding with these sneaky bishes to make this a memorable trip to one of my favorite locations. Happy birthday to me! 🎉🥳👏🎊🍾 by @mrstennisha

From Tennisha the Human: My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a couple years and my doctors recommended that I drastically reduce the amount of stress in my life as we start the IUI/IVF process. It is with the best interests of BGH in mind and tears in my eyes that I’m sharing this extremely personal and difficult information with you all. After over six years of pouring my heart, time, and energy into building and growing BlackGirlsHack, I’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to step back from my role as Executive Director. This decision has not come lightly-it follows months of prayer, deep reflection, and heartfelt consideration. BlackGirlsHack was born from a vision to create a space where Black women and girls and underrepresented communities could thrive in cybersecurity and tech. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve built together: a community rooted in empowerment, education, and opportunity. It has been the honor of a lifetime to lead this mission and watch it evolve into a powerful movement that is transforming lives every day. But after spending so many years helping others, it’s time for me to put myself first-to focus on my health and well-being. This next chapter in my personal journey is one of rest, healing, and renewal. I’m incredibly excited to share that Rebekah Skeete, our Chief Operating Officer, has stepped into the role of CEO and Executive Director of BlackGirlsHack / BGH Foundation. Rebekah has been an integral part of this organization’s growth, and there is no one better equipped to carry this vision forward. Her leadership, passion, and unwavering commitment to our mission will usher BlackGirlsHack into a powerful new era. Thank you for your continued support, belief, and love over the years. I’m forever grateful for this community, and I can’t wait to watch BlackGirlsHack continue to grow and thrive under Rebekah’s leadership. With love and gratitude, Tennisha Martin, Cybersecurity Woman Hacker of the Year, Mother of Hackers and one day mother of a baby hacker by @mrstennisha

You may be saying to yourself - Well Tennisha… winning Cybersecurity Woman Hacker of the Year was cute and all… but why stop there? If we’re dreaming big, why not go for Cybersecurity Woman of the WORLD? 🌍✨ So here we are — I’m officially in the running for Cybersecurity Woman of the World 2025. In honor of this very chill, not at all dramatic milestone, I’ll be celebrating in the most logical way possible: By doing the same thing I did today… and yesterday… and the day before that… Trying to take over the world. 🐭🧠 Next goal is landing in the top 20 finalists for Cybersecurity Woman of the WORLDDDD *imagine echos and dramatic drums playing in the background* Thanks to the Cybersecurity Woman of the Year, Carmen Marsh, United Cybersecurity Alliance and Cybersecurity Woman of the World Edition for creating an award worthy of my worldly aspirations! by @mrstennisha
