In June, DLEOFL members embarked on our 2026 School Supplies Mission trip in the Dominican Republic. The Mission Trip took us to schools routed through Monte Cristi, Janico, Santiago, La Vega, Santo Domingo, Villa Faro, Yamasa, Boca Chica, San Pedro De Marcoris, La Romana, Punta Cana and Bayahibe. Your generous donations gave us the ability to supply over 800 children with book bags, notebooks, pencil pouches, rulers, and several other items. A HUGE THANK YOU to all who donated money, time, and care to our mission. Without you this would have not been possible. Celebrating Dominican culture through community, music, and tradition is always meaningful. I attended “¿Qué lo que? RD,” organized by Sofía La Chapelle, in commemoration of the anniversary of the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴

It was wonderful to gather at the North Miami Beach Library with so many fellow Dominicans, alongside representation from the Consulate of the Dominican Republic in Miami, community leaders, and commissioners from the City of Miami and North Miami.

A special thank you for the recognition presented to me, I truly appreciate it. The energy and artistry of Planeta Dance Corporation, “Los Diablos de Miami,” made the celebration even more unforgettable.

Moments like this remind us that our roots, our pride, and our unity live wherever we are.

Everyone knows about the special bond between a father and daughter, but the connection my beautiful daughter and I share is something even deeper. Somehow, she must’ve spent her life studying me because—she’s a literal mind reader. With just one look, she knows exactly what I’m thinking and feeling.

Now that she’s grown into a young woman, she doesn’t just read my mind—she gives me incredible advice. And no matter how much time passes, she still has the magic power of simply suggesting something she wants… and I can’t help but make it happen. Because that’s what dads do—we spoil our little girls, no matter how grown they are.

Just last week, we celebrated my baby girl’s 21st birthday. Of course, her requests were over the top—but what’s a dad to do? With the help of @troopaswifey and some amazing friends, we made it all happen.
