This week I’ll be sharing some of the Wild Mushrooms we found, on the “Elijah Oliver Trail” at the historic, Cades Cove in Tennessee. One of the most scenic mountains, with rich history of early settlers in the region.. taken in Cades Cove Road Loop by @ms.botanical

🌿 MUSHROOM MONDAY: The Fairytale is Real 🍄
You’ve seen it in video games and bedtime stories—but did you know the Fly Agaric is as toxic as it is iconic?

Amanita muscaria, with its scarlet or golden-yellow cap and snowy white warts, is one of the most recognized fungi in the world. It’s steeped in myth, medicine, and magic—used by shamans, foragers, and nature lovers across the globe.

Inspired by its otherworldly presence, I recreated this mushroom entirely from recycled paper and forest floor finds—transforming discarded pages into something beautifully deadly. 🌱📖

Each sculpture is unique and hand-shaped to honor nature’s quirks—no two are alike, just like the forest’s hidden stories.

Nature is Reflecting Back 🍄🪞
This isn’t just a mirror, it’s a portal into the forest floor, sculpted with love, clay, and mossy dreams.

This Mushroom Mirror was on display at the Brooklyn Waterfront Art Coalition's June 2025 "FUNGI" Art Exhibition!

Handmade from a reclaimed frame, adorned with sculpted clay mushrooms, preserved forest moss, and a reflective center, this piece invites you to see yourself as part of nature—not separate from it.

Each mushroom was carefully shaped to mimic the charming fungi found on hikes and hidden groves. Every angle is a little world of texture, growth, and reflection.

✨ This mirror isn’t just wall decor, it’s a daily reminder that your reflection, like the forest, is wild, layered, and constantly growing.

♻️ One-of-a-kind and made with reused and natural materials.

🌿 Would you hang this in your space? Tell me where you’d place it!
