This year…I glow differently.

…Not because life has been perfect, but because I have grown through every season with grace, faith, and resilience.

…Not because I am where i want to be but because I am not where I was last year and that is growth.

I am stepping into this new year with confidence, gratitude, and a heart full of expectation for all that is still to come.

This weekend was one for the books. 🥹🤍

My little man graduated from early years, and my heart is still so full. Watching him reach this milestone was such a proud, emotional moment.

Of course, I had grand plans to capture it all and tell the perfect story. I spent over 2 hours editing... or at least trying to. 😂

In the end, I decided to let the memories speak for themselves.

So here it is…the final product. Be kind. 😂 🫣

And if you are enjoying this little content creation journey with me, cheer me on because whew... creating content is a full-time job on its own! It is definitely not for the faint-hearted.

My heart is full… and my joy is complete. Cooked to perfection. Alhamdullilah.

One thing life keeps teaching me is this: Allah’s timing is never random. Sometimes we pray, plan, worry, overthink, and even wonder if our desires have been forgotten… only to later realise that He was simply creating something more beautiful than we could have imagined.

There’s a calmness that comes with understanding Ya Bari (البَارِئُ) — The Evolver, The Perfect Creator.
The One who brings everything into existence with precision, balance, and purpose. Nothing rushed. Nothing missing. Nothing out of place.

Looking back, I can honestly say this…every delay had direction. Every waiting season had wisdom attached to it. And every unanswered “now” eventually became a beautifully answered “right time.”

Truthfully, if it were left to me, I probably would have arranged some parts of my life differently… and less beautifully too. Thankfully, Allah is a far better planner than my impatient spreadsheets and emotional timelines.

So today, my heart rests in gratitude.
Not just for the blessings that arrived, but for the timing they arrived in. Because when Allah creates, He does so in perfect harmony.

And perhaps that’s the sweetest reminder of all:

On this International Women’s Day, (2days ago…lol), I am reminded of a powerful truth which we have all known from times before and we see happen everyday … when women pour into each other, we all rise.

There is no shortage of success, opportunity, or brilliance. Like the popular saying goes, the sky is big enough for everyone to fly. The more we give support, share knowledge, open doors, and speak life into another woman, the more we multiply what’s possible for all of us.

My girl @ijaylately says refill the cup from which you pour and I absolutely agree with her.

How can you support a woman today? How can you give to gain??
💜Compliment her work.
💜Share her business.
💜Recommend her for the opportunity.
💜 Encourage her when she doubts herself.
💜Celebrate her wins like they are your own.
Because the truth is: empowered women do not compete with one another…they invest in each other.

Today and every day, let us all choose to give so we can all gain. When one woman rises, she creates space for many more to rise with her.

These past three months have been truly transformative, an experience I will not trade for anything.
As a woman in the construction industry, I have always been driven by a deep desire to grow, lead, and make meaningful impact. With my current recent appointment as a Board Chair for the AAQS Africa Association of Quantity Surveyors Young Quantity Surveyors, I knew it was crucial to equip myself with the right knowledge and tools to lead effectively at the board level.

When @wimbizng announced their Board Mentoring Program, I answered the call and what an incredible journey it has been!

Through intensive training sessions led by exceptional mentors like Ogunniran Hakeem, Folake Sanu, Abi Ayida, Opunimi Akinkugbe, Cathy Echeozo, Alawusa Adewuyi, Nike Adeyemi, to name a few and a deeply insightful one-on-one mentorship with the amazing @jamjam2830, I can confidently say: I AM BOARD READY!

As I step into a new year of life, I’m making a personal commitment:
