✨ What an Unforgettable Night! ✨

Last Friday night at the @blackwomenrisinguk Black Women Rising Gala was nothing short of magical! 🌟 I’m still on a high from the energy, the love, and the overwhelming sense of sisterhood in the room. 💖

To share a stage with such incredible women and to witness the vulnerability of my fellow sisters who shared their deeply moving stories in the latest video campaign was truly emotional. Their voices, their resilience, and their strength is evidence to remind us all why the work of @blackwomenrisinguk is so vital. 🖤

Having the talented @emelisande open the night with a beautiful live performance was an absolute dream! 🎤✨ And to see the amazing @elizabethhurley1 and @damienhurley show up in solidarity and support as allies meant the world. 🙏🏾🌹

But the most surreal part? I got to perform Black Women Rising - The Anthem on such a special stage 🎶🔥 Being able to share my song, which is so deeply rooted and inspired by not just my journey but this incredible community, was an honour I can’t put into words. Seeing everyone’s reactions—feeling their energy—was a moment I will never forget. 🥹💫

I was also one of the recipients of a Beacon of Light Award, which was such a surprise 🏆🤎

@angiegreaves was an amazing host, and Carol Thompson definitely closed the night on a high.

To every warrior, survivor, and supporter who was there on Friday night: THANK YOU for your courage, your love, and for reminding us all that we rise together. 🙌🏾💪🏾

Let's keep making noise, raising awareness, and supporting our Black sisters in every way we can! 🌻💫

Where do I even start? 🥹❤️

The Black Women Rising Gala was so much more than a fundraiser to me.

It was an outward expression of love and support from allies who believe in the vision.

It was a celebration of an entire community — a Sisterhood united by one thing none of us ever asked for… a cancer diagnosis.

It was a big, warm hug from friends and family who have held our hands through the good times and the really difficult ones.

And it was the coming together of everyone in the Black Women Rising orbit — collectively taking a moment to see just how far we’ve come, while recognising how much more there is still to do, so that no woman of colour has to go through a cancer diagnosis alone.

And then there was the stage… 🎤🥹

It was my ABSOLUTE HONOUR to grace that stage alongside all of the incredible performers on the night.

Writing Black Women Rising – The Anthem back in May 2023 was my love letter to my incredible tribe of Sisters. So every time I have the opportunity to perform it, my nervous system is doing ALL sorts because, yes… the nerves ALWAYS hit 😂 — but more than anything, it’s my expression of love for my ladies. ❤️

My life would be so incredibly different without my BWR fam.

I want to salute the Queen herself, Leanne, for her vision, her courage and her staying power. To continue this work — year after year — is no small thing. And I’m so proud to be part of the journey.

To my entire BWR family… I adore you. ❤️

Let’s keep flying the flag.

Let’s keep reaching back for those coming behind us.

Let’s keep creating spaces where women feel seen, supported and never alone.

So that we can continue to rise… together.

By far, the best day of my year so far (even topped my birthday in Greece). Honestly, I absolutely love the simply things in life, grateful for my blessings and able to spend quality time in nature, being grounded and capturing God's beauty through my lens.

PART 1: Having a photographer as your friend definitely has its perks... 😂📸💜

Last week, I did something I'm trying to do more of... I took a proper day off.

No client brief. No deadlines. Just a day spent wandering around the lavender fields @mayfieldlavender with one of my favourite people @gabyjefa, soaking up the beautiful sunshine, loving life and enjoying some much-needed me time.

Of course, I couldn't resist picking up my camera. I literally can't help myself 😅

I'm an event photographer through and through, but every now and then I love stepping outside my comfort zone and challenging myself with portraits and other exciting things. Massive thanks to my gorgeous friend for happily letting me experiment and guide her through this, I honestly love how these turned out 😊🪻.

Sometimes the best photos happen when there's no pressure... just good company, beautiful light and a camera in your hand. 💜

WOW…what a night. 💛✨

Hosting Untold Cancer Stories Live: Blood Cancer for @blackwomenrisinguk a couple weeks ago was honestly AWESOME.

The incredible panel from @acltcharity , @myelomauk and @bloodcancer_uk shared so much valuable information and insight, but what really made the evening special was the audience participation. The questions people asked were thoughtful, powerful, and necessary.

We spoke about stem cell and donor donations, clinical trials, treatment pathways, representation in healthcare and why awareness matters SO much in our communities.

As someone with lived experience, being trusted to host this conversation meant a lot to me. And hearing that people left feeling informed, inspired and empowered? That’s exactly why we need MORE events like this.

More conversations.

More education.

More awareness.

More lives changed.

Another year older, another year more grateful. ✨

A little hightlight for you 😉

I took the first two weeks of May to celebrate life my way — rest, laughter, music, theatre, good food, beautiful people, and moments that filled my soul. From a quick necessary getaway, seeing @johannesradebe light up the stage in @kinkybootsuk (the whole cast was incredible) to pure good vibes at @soulmamalondon with friends and family… every moment was a reminder that getting older is a privilege.

My cupcakes by @charscakery went down a treat 🎂

Tomorrow isn’t promised, so celebrate yourself, love loudly, rest deeply, and do what makes you happy. 🥂❤️

HAPPY SOLAR RETURN TO ME!!!!🎉🎉🎊🙏🏾
I was going to write something really profound but, actually all I want to say is how grateful to God I am for His continuous blessings over my life🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Getting older is an absolute privilege (ask my birthday twin Sir David Attenborough...100 today...he'll tell ya lol).

I love this first picture of me so much...it had to be the one to express how I feel today in visual form. The second is my most favourite flower in the world, Bird of Paradise that happen to be right out my bedroom door at my hotel in my current location 😉.

Massive round of applause 👏🏾

I honestly loved every minute of attending @thephotographyshow . Being surrounded by so many creatives, hearing different journeys and just talking about photography all day… it was inspiring.

One of my highlights was stopping by the @ukbftog stand and saying YES to having my headshots taken by @jkgphotography who, I have been following for a while but met in person recently at an event that she was photographing. Such a great moment. I couldn’t resist doing a quick light edit myself afterwards using the jpeg files delivered by @captureone

And of course… I had to stop by the @canonuk stand too 📸

The photography community is slowly becoming part of my DNA. I had so many great conversations and met some amazing people who share the same love for this craft as I do.

Still smiling about it. Already looking forward to the next one.
