Women’s health matters. Our bodies matter. Our voices matter. 🙏🏾Sensory Vibes was more than an event, it was a reminder that taking a whole-body approach to peri-menopause, menopause and beyond isn’t a luxury… IT IS NECESSARY! From nourishing food to breathwork, vocal sound, movement, music, pure vibes and a deeply grounding sound bath, every moment poured back into us as women.Spaces like this are needed, felt, and so appreciated. Standing at the iconic Black Star Gate during my last visit to Ghana reminded me just how special this place is. 💛🇬🇭✨As Ghana Independence Day marks 69 years of independence for Ghana, I’m filled with so much gratitude. Over the last 15 months I’ve been blessed to visit four times… For a reset, realignment, family, friends, reconnections, new connections, business, work, sowing seeds, experiences, moments of pure joy and an unexpected spiritual awakening. There was a younger version of me who was once bullied and made to feel ashamed of being African… And today she would be so proud of the Amanda who now stands boldly in her heritage and identity. 🥹Grateful to God for guiding my steps and the plans ahead. KAREEMAH 🤍From the moment you walked into the STEP NOW Artist Development Programme in 2023, you lit up the room. Your energy, your smile, your presence… UNFORGETTABLE. Watching you grow through creating your song and then seeing you perform it live, surrounded by family and friends, was such a blessing. All the special moments shared on the programme with your peers and facilitators were moments filled with so much joy. Even beyond the programme, our check-ins meant so much. You were a fighter, navigating life with courage, joy and honesty, always pouring love into others including me and especially your mum, your anchor.Yesterday we celebrated your life, your strength and the impact you made. My prayers remain with your family, that God continues to give them comfort, peace and strength.Kareemah you touched lives. You made an impact. You were a fighter. If we take anything from your life, let it be this: Keep going, keep shining, and keep believing in our light. Kareemah, you are the definition of a Young Black Shining Star and though you are no longer with us physically, your light has not gone out. Having a clear out and I found some baby pics of me (so cute) and now I’m here in reflective mode…Looking at this baby, she had no idea what life would bring… The pain, the heartbreaks, the hardships, the lessons, the tears, the moments she’d feel unloved and unseen. But God knew. Through every storm, every tear, every silent battle, He was there shaping her, strengthening her and preparing her for purpose.Now at 41, I look back not with sadness, but with gratitude. Because what was meant to break me only built me. Every scar became strength, every loss became light.She didn’t know what was ahead… The pain, growth, purpose, but God did and He brought her through it all.
