I know a carb hates to see me coming!

Since I have so many followers and new people I’ve met, I figured this would be a good time to re-share this (original released 2018) because it’s been on my mind as I start cooking my holiday dinner.

This project has a special place in my heart because it was the first parody I ever did and really help me realize I could write more than just plays, poems and scripts. I low-key can write songs too (100% inspired by my love for Weird Al Yankovic).

And now I’m writing books. What a world.

Anywhoo, Y’all be safe and don’t forget your stretchy pants!

Sidenote: if @yolandaadams ever actually sees this someday, I don’t care if it’s 10 years later I would die lol by @msdevotedtiff

As a creative, you create what you want to see. I wanted to see a visual that celebrates women of a darker hue in hopes of providing a positive counter to the effects of colorism. Thank you to @beyonce @saintjhn @wizkidayo and Blue Ivy for creating a perfectly beautiful and inspiring vessel for me to do so. To every milk chocolate and dark chocolate woman out there, my hope is that you can always reference this project when you want to see a celebration of your hue on the screen. All Hues, love yourself. You are beautiful. We are beautiful. Please enjoy “Love Letter
To My Hue” - A MsDevotedTiff Production

Exciting News: Our amazing author client Tiff Wright @tiffwrightwrites @msdevotedtiff just released her anthology called A Gullah Geechee Mermaid Anthology: Welcome To The Geechmobo Reef! 🎉📚🧜‍♀️

It’s a mermaid fantasy collection of 8 short stories, plus bonus chapters, and a sneak peek of a future story coming!

You will love this like I did if you enjoy reading fictional, cozy, mermaid fantasy with relatable characters and themes of family, friendship, career, relationships, romance, self discovery, Gullah Geechee culture, and so much more!

It’s also clean with no swearing or spice, making it suitable for readers of pretty much any age!

Formats available include paperback, hardcover, ebook, and audiobook (which I had the pleasure of editing)!

Happy Gullah Geechee Heritage Month! 🌊 Born and raised right in the Corridor (DUVAL to Savannah).
Right when I was about to start writing a Southern Black mermaid fantasy, I found out my family has lived on this exact coastal soil for over 300 years. That discovery shifted everything—they had to specifically be Gullah Geechee mermaids.
All October long, I’m celebrating my debut book, A Gullah Geechee Mermaid Anthology, by sharing the authentic Lowcountry folklore, food like Hoppin’ John, and traditions behind my world. Wishing everyone a proud, joyful Gullah Geechee Heritage Month!

My incredibly talented friend @msdevotedtiff , of @tiffwrightwrites just published her first book!! I just got mine today and can’t wait to dive in. (Mermaid pun intended). Wanna support a lovely, smart, so funny, Black author from right here in The Lowcountry? Give her a follow or buy her book!

Here’s her book’s description: Step into the warm, enchanting Gullah Geechee Sea Island waters of the magical coral reef city of Geechmobo for the debut of this cozy Afro mermaid fantasy series that celebrates Soulaan heritage, Afrofuturism, and sacred West African sea deities. 🧜🏿‍♀️🧜🏿‍♂️🧜🏿

So proud of you, TIFF!!! 🩷🩷🩷 taken in Savannah, Georgia by @msdevotedtiff
