David Klennert and I went to see Rufus Wainwright & Teddy Thompson tonight in Minneapolis.

(It was an amazing show, these guys voices wowsers!) 🤩🤩

If you’ll indulge a chatty uncle I’d like to share a story.

Back in 2005-ish I was still trying to “not be gay”. Part of the de-gayification preached at young people to SHUNNN existing gay culture, music, clothing.. all of it.

BUTT, I ripped a copy of “Poses” from a friend and couldn’t stop playing it.

(Don’t worry I bought the CD later Rufus) 😅

All that to say, Rufus Wainwright played a part in my eventual trip out of the closet in 2006. His songs were a holy call for me to be… me! 🌈

What a treat to get to see him live 20 years later, with my husband. Going on 10 years together this November!

It’s a reminder for ME not to gate-keep amazing art and culture. You never know who’s listening, and how it can change hearts in the long run. (Gosh I sound kinda evangelical about this eh?) 🤭 by @msgoll

Gay Ducks!!
Two mallards, eating the neighbors food. Surely they couldn’t be brothers, a father or son.

They are celebrating pride month and relaxing. 🥹🥰🦆🦆🌈 taken in Saint Cloud, Minnesota by @msgoll

Tonight, while out for supper, a young-ish man-waiter paused to ask us.. “So are you like Dad & Son?”

To which David graciously responded, “were married.” And I said, “Ya sorry I didn’t have my ring on display, but he’s the dad!” 😂

I DON’T think David found this as funny as I did. BUTT.. it’s significantly funnier than the times we are asked if we are brothers! 💀 by @msgoll

Staying still long enough to photograph. 🤣

Have a good day you lil charcoal-furred rascal! 🤩🥰 by @msgoll
