2025- This is the year I survived.
And I don’t mean that lightly.

This was the year my body asked me to slow down in ways I never had before.
The year I faced fear head-on. Faced it in every sobbing breath and panic attack and every time I asked my doctor, “am I going to be okay?!”
This was the year I shed layers of myself I thought I needed to keep.
The performer.
The overachiever.
The “I’m fine.”
The version of me that pushed through instead of listened. (Look, I’m still working on it, okay, we are doing our best)

Despite a year of shedding, some really awesome first time things happened too. Things that gave me hope, filled me with love, and inspiration.
Ivy came into our lives, I grew my first vegetables, I baked my first loaf of bread, I finished the Murph with my dear friends, I joined an incredible gym and community, and I got to go back to Bryce Canyon NP.

The work required of me this year has left me feeling completely different from the woman who posted a year ago. This year asked me to dive deeper Into my healing, into my community, into my soul, and into my resilience.

2025 taught me that survival is not weakness!!! It’s wisdom!!!
That softness and slowing down can be strength.

Mostly, 2025 taught me the most important thing of all: to love and appreciate one another. To the folks who have shown up for me, sat with me, held me, and loved me through the messy, uncomfortable, ugly parts of healing - thank you. I wouldn’t be here without you. And I am so so grateful for your love.

From what I hear, 2026 is going to be the year of the horse. I’m ready to kick the door closed on 2025. I’m channeling my inner Tina Belcher next year. I’m ready, my body is ready… my horse body, that is. 🤭✨

(Honorable mentions to my gals: @biobecca and @jillianmarie82
These two are my sisters for life and I am so grateful for their love and care- next year, we are getting pictures!!!)

The kind of place where there will always be room for one more at the dinner table.

Pull up a chair.
I'll serve you a plate.
Help yourself to a cold beverage. They're in the cooler.
What have you been up to lately?
I'm glad you could be here.
Leave the dishes, we'll do them tomorrow.
Let's do this again, soon.

How we gather is important. It lays the groundwork for community and a place for people to belong.

I might be a wedding photographer, but I think the metaphor of squeezing in another chair at the crowded table is a beautiful way to think about my business and my values. If my images, my words, my services are resonating with you, I think you've found a place to belong.

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.
