only went and bloody made it happen!!

I don’t have enough words to express how incredibly proud I am to have been a part of this show, the process, and this incredible ensemble of actors.
I am deeply moved by the love, support, generosity and spirit of every single person I have worked with these past 10 weeks. It is an experience I’ll never forget, and I’ve learnt so much from each and every one of you.
To the cast especially, you are the most amazing artists and people I’ve crossed paths with, and I feel honoured to have shared the stage with you, and will always be in awe of your work and beautiful souls. Thank you for everything.

This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, covering for the first time and being the freshest in the room. I was doubting myself and the pressure was high, but the support I received from our ensemble made me realise how fully held I was.

I did end up going on to cover as Shriti twice, and because of the work I’d done, and the trust I had in everyone around me, I was able to do it calmly and with full faith in myself. Those two nights were the proudest I’ve felt in a very long time, and I’m so grateful to have had that opportunity.

There have been so many discoveries and memories made on this job, and I’m so glad we made it happen together!

A huge thank you to @edintfest @ntsonline @dundeerep @playfulprods and @nealstreetproductions
and of course, to our amazing director @andrewpanton and brilliant writer @misterjamesgraham !

Further thank yous to everyone below! your work is wonderful:
@emilyoulton @emilyjaneboyle @mikahsmillie @annafleischle @angelicasets @lewisdenhertog @ting_asoundlady @eap73 @tompennysound @niallcasserly_md @gabrielm_md @stuartbcasting

And finally, thank you to all of my family and friends, who supported me throughout, and also to all of those who came to watch. It means the world 🫶🏽

a big jumble - birthday celebrations, long walks and touching grass, ikea trips, wearing my favourite clothes, seeing some of my favourite people (in real life and on stage), free coffee, the sticky notes of a mad woman, finally retiring the England shirt for the year, mermaid hair, something I baked and yummy food wot I ate. by @msmayabassicurtis

The Weight of It - Short Film by Damilola Raji

I was looking back at some of the wonderful work I’ve had the chance to be a part of as I look forward to coming home to London, and found these!

I loved being a part of this short film and still can’t believe what we were able to create with a 2 day shoot, most of which was shot in one little bathroom stall!
It was a real learning lesson for me and I’m excited to tackle more screen work in future.
So proud of this and feeling very lucky to have met these beautiful artists during uni, and to have found lasting friendships and future collaborators from this.

The link is in my bio if you feel like having a watch! 🫶🏽 by @msmayabassicurtis

A tribute to the late Glen Hansard.
Time has stood still since you left this earth. There will never be another like you. Thank you for everything.

Echoes in Draft w/Blue Joy Theatre Company

What a joy to be a part of bringing such wonderful new work to life. It’s so lovely to slowly return to some acting work after a conscious break this year, and to do so in such a supportive environment with a company that champions young artists.
I love new writing, and I love working with writers. Thank you for being so generous and for trusting us with your work. It takes a lot of bravery to let people take your words and ideas from the page and put them into action.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what you all create and bring to our stages and screens going forward.

What Blue Joy is doing for early-career and underrepresented artists is fundamental in lifting up new voices and helping Australia develop a fresh and diverse theatrical voice. Spaces and programs like this are absolutely necessary for the development and incubation of Australian talent. Thank you for doing the work to help keep this industry constantly growing and evolving.

To any Australian-based actors, artists and creatives, get involved and follow what’s happening with Blue Joy and these fabulous creative people!

Lots of love and gratitude x
