From our offices and programs to our thrift store (and even a few furry friends 🐾), staff across BHcare participated in Purple Thursday to raise awareness about domestic violence and honor survivors.

Every photo is a reminder that survivors are not alone. Together, we stand for safety, healing, hope, and a future free from violence.

Elected officials, law enforcement, advocates, survivors, and supporters came together for Sound of Hope to honor the 23 Connecticut lives lost to domestic violence in 2025 and reaffirm our commitment to ending domestic violence.
This year's theme, Hope Can't Wait, is a reminder that when someone reaches out for help, support must be there. Safety can't wait. Healing can't wait. Hope can't wait. 💜
Thank you to our partners, speakers, elected officials, law enforcement representatives, advocates, and community leaders who joined us and continue to stand with survivors, including Senator Richard Blumenthal, Congresswomen Rosa DeLauro,

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we’ve turned our displays purple at My Sister’s Place to show our support to everyone who has been impacted by domestic violence.

Today is VOCA's National Day of Action, and we're asking our community to help protect services for victims and survivors. The Crime Victims Fund supports critical programs, including domestic violence services, advocacy, counseling, shelter, and legal assistance. Without Congressional action, funding cuts will continue to impact victim service organizations across Connecticut and the country.

Contact Connecticut's senators today and urge them to support the bipartisan Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act (H.R. 909).
