We stand at a precipice as humans during this time. A time of great division, war, inequity, injustice, and oppression. Yet, as humans throughout all of time have always done, we resist, we sing, we create, truth is told, stories are shared, patterns are broken, and we rise.

The Great War machine, crimes against humanity, the devastation of Mother Earth, droughts, heatwaves, extinction in ways we have yet to fully grasp. The cause at the hands of greed and ignorance. Yet, as humans throughout all of time have always done, we resist, we sing, we create, truth is told, stories are shared, patterns are broken, and we rise.

This morning I wake with self care,
A matcha tea and long bath.
A letting go, of stress, of the past, of old patterns.
These little reminders to come home to myself.
To come home to creativity, art, joy, love, friendship, forgiveness, laughter, the ocean, the stars, our dreams, the heart.
What better way to resist than to grow despite it all.
To say “enough”, we must create here.
For without creation there is no life.
And without life there isn’t you or me.
There aren’t poems, songs, dance or art to tell the story of our humanity.

Maybe we resist by refusing for our joy to be stolen.
By refusing for the spark of creation to go untouched.

Within each of us is possibility and the ability to begin again. No matter the circumstances, we must keep growing. If I choose to not be overcome by despair, fear or the pain of it all, then I choose to be overcome by unity, love, rebirth, forgiveness, healing and the great gift of life. And that in itself, is revolution.

Double dates and board game nights.
Circus magic, giraffes and cheetahs.
Blackberries and fairy tea 🫖
Laughter, tears and healing.

A letting go, a lighter breath.
Refining and returning home to the simple things.
A slowing down, permission to rest.
The gift of letting go.

To be supported fully on your path,
Seen and honored, even in your shadows.
Loved until your heart heals again.
Held at your highest expression,
And tended to even at your lowest.
True sisterhood isn’t superficial.
It asks us to face ourselves again and again.
And to meet ourselves with tenderness and care.
Sometimes the journey feels relieving,
Like a great weight has been lifted,
From everything we’ve been carrying for too long.
Other times it feels raw, real, unavoidable.
To be seen asks us not to run,
But to turn and face everything.
With courage, gratitude and strength for this one precious life we are living. 🪷
