Shout out to all my cast and crew we made an award winning film!! 🎞️ 🎬🎉🏆 by @mstaunyas

These last few weeks have been up and down. October came in with a force, 2 deaths in my family and some wonderful exciting things happening with my short film screening at BIBFF and winning an award. Happy feelings and some sad.

So I need a break and time to reset. So, this is my view for the next few days. I bet you can’t figure out where it is?

It’s hard to believe this is what it looked like before 9/11. I remember this day 25 years ago like it was yesterday, I was living in Jersey at the time and once I heard about what happened, I started watching the news on TV. I was concerned for my family and friends that I knew worked or lived In NYC, praying for their safety. I am so happy my loved ones who were directly affected by this made it home safely.

That day has passed and it is now part of America’s history. One thing that this day reminds me is that every day is not promised, if you love someone... tell them.. if you want to go somewhere.. Go! Stop 🛑 procrastinating and make things happen! Live your life!

Great weekend at the urban film festival. Between the masterclasses and the films, to networking with other filmmakers. I definitely would recommend to other creators. The festival was free and the information was worth a lot. My film didn’t win an award but it was nominated for the best drama short category. The festival received over 1500 submissions and selected 200 films in several categories from features, shorts, web-series, AI film, verticals and more. It was an honor to be selected and nominated. Most importantly is the message, don’t ignore the signs.
