🦞IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR!🦞

Cowboy Catholics at McNeese walk with students as their childhood faith becomes a bold and lived out adult faith through discipleship, community, retreats, and the sacraments.

And YOU make that possible.

Join us for our Annual Crawfish Boil and Auction on April 25, 2026 at the McNeese Alumni Grove for an unforgettable night filled with incredible food, live music, family fun, homemade baked goods, and exciting auction items, all while investing in the next generation of the Church.

For just $50 you get 5 pounds of crawfish with all the fixings, 2 sodas or beers, a koozie, and a whole lot of good Cajun fun. It is a deal you do not want to miss.

Bring your family, invite your friends, and come hungry. Tickets are on sale now at the front office and on our website. We cannot wait to see you there! taken in McNeese Alumni Center by @msu_catholic

Our bins have filled up again and we’re still collecting!!💛🍎👏 (Now-11/21) Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Your kindness in just a few days has already made a huge impact, and we are so grateful.

Our Lady of Good Counsel is collecting non-perishable food items for the McNeese Food Pantry, supporting students who are in need. The McNeese Students from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND) @msucowboynutrition have organized this wonderful effort.

There is a donation box and a couple of tubs in the foyer for you to drop off your items. They’ve already picked up a load of donations, and we’re excited to keep helping such a great cause. 🙏💛

“There are truly no words to describe how powerful of an experience this retreat was. I was able to see not only my own strengthening in my faith, but also the beautiful transformations of all of my fellow students. I will forever be grateful to the OLGC parishioners for generously supporting college students in our walk of faith.”
— Lucy Romero, Sophomore at McNeese

We are so inspired by the incredible faith and transformation our students experienced during Awakening! A huge thank you to our friends at @nichecreativestudio o for printing our amazing retreat T-shirts, they looked just as good as the weekend felt!

This past weekend, fifty-seven students participated in Cowboy Awakening #83, a powerful weekend of encountering Christ’s relentless and unconditional love. The retreat was organized and led by their peers, who gave their time, energy, and faith to allow God to work through them.

It brings us great joy to see so many young people deepening their relationship with Christ. Please continue to pray for these students, that they carry the graces of this special weekend with them and continue to pursue Christ in all they do.
