Cowboy Awakening #85!

“Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away: as it hath pleased the Lord so is it done: blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21).

What a beautiful weekend spent with our Lord and his people! To see Him work through so many is a joy and blessing that words will always fail to describe. From the sacrifice, prayer, and being with those of His faithful, we encountered love and grace like never before at a time I needed it most. Regardless of where I am in life, whether it be in times of trial or immense blessings, I pray that I’ll continue to bless His name throughout it all. CA85 what a joyful blessing you were. See you in the spring!

“Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made Heaven and Earth” (Psalms 123:8).

Cowboy Awakening #85! #gophergold💛🏆

TYJ for gophers! TYJ for Westlake friends! TYJ for Sulphur friends! TYJ for Cowboy Awakenings!

These retreats will forever hold a special place in my heart! Being able to watch my friends experience what i got experience this weekend was so amazing. Over these past 4 months God has shown me that we don’t have to carry all of this weight on our own. He wants us to give it to him. Even when you think he’s not listening just know that he hears every prayer, every struggle, and every bit of pain that you are going through. But what he has at the end is so much bigger.
1 Peter 5:7 says, “Give your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

If you are thinking about making your Awakening, don’t wait! I promise you will not regret it! I can not wait for the next one🫶🏼

Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”
There are no words to describe exactly how I feeling leaving this retreat. Through the Sacrament of Adoration I was able to find a peace within myself. This peace taught me a lot about faith and how it can lead our lives. The community I found has opened me up in ways I didn’t know possible and showed me that we are called to lean on each other. Thank you group 4 for pouring into me this weekend. Lastly, the intentionality of this retreat has me in awe. The prayers I received were not lost on me and I cannot thank @msu_catholic enough for giving us this opportunity to grow within ourselves and our relationships with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Cowboy Awakening #85

A retreat I’ll always remember and a journey I’ll never forget. Thank you to everyone especially my table family and my sisters yall made everything just that much more special and I’m leaving with not only getting closer to Christ but my brothers and sisters in Christ who I’ll forever be grateful for and pray for. Can’t put into words all the love I have for my new family and have never been happier ✨🫶

Cowboy Awakening #84, the most incredible, most fulfilling experience imaginable. I am overflowing with gratitude for the Lord. For each opportunity he has provided for me to grow in relationship with him, for the opportunities he has given me to lead others, for the people around me that make these encounters with him just that much sweeter. What a blessing this weekend was!!

I’m feeling so bitter sweet about this chapter of my life closing. “Awakening weekend” has been the one weekend I’ve looked forward to most every semester since the beginning of college. Thinking about having no more of these weekends to look forward to makes me sad. But thinking about how much these retreats have positively impacted my relationship with the Lord is something I am so grateful for. From my first awakening to my eighth, I’ve changed, I’ve learned, and I’ve grown. And thanks to each of these experiences, I have felt the overwhelming love and joy that the Lord has to offer me time and time again. And for that, I am eternally grateful. Cowboy Catholics, thank you for being a part of my college story and for giving me such a beautiful, loving, supportive community to lean on during these last few years.

Our Lord is truly all good, all loving, and so intentional in everything that he does.
Lord, I thank you for allowing me to grow into the person I am today, and for constantly giving me the desire to lean into my relationship with you. And I thank you for putting each of these people into my life who encourage me and support me in my walk towards a deeper relationship with you.

This past weekend our girls got away from the craziness of life, put down their phones, and spent some one on one time with Jesus, as well as growing in their faith with their sisters! Cowboy awakening is truly one of the most powerful, inspiring, and heart warming experiences that McNeese has to offer! Thank you Cowboy Catholics for putting on yet another wonderful retreat!

coming from someone who has never worked a retreat before, this was such an amazing experience! I can not wait for the next one! and for all my friends who have not made an Awakening, DO IT!! Everyone deserves to experience how amazing our God is!

There are no words in the English dictionary to describe how absolutely amazing this weekend was.
