Man, seems like just the other day I met you, and you were 5. I took you to Chuck E Cheese for the first time, and introduced you to first person shooter zombie games. Now here we are doing our first high school tour together! How I wish we could slow down time, but we know that time will only speed up. It’s been such a privilege, and honor watching you grow up and seeing you starting to become a man. I’m so very proud of you and only ask that you always dream big and never just settle for whatever in life. What an emotional day visiting Pearl Harbor’s USS Arizona Memorial. It’s a very sacred place to reflect the tragedies that happened that day and all the sailors and military personnel that lost their lives on that day. My Grandpap was a Pearl Harbor Survivor, so it was very special and a bucket list place for me to visit, and I feel so blessed to finally be able to come here and share the experience with my family. I can just hear my Grandpap now telling all the stories of that day and all the stories about his time fighting in the Pacific on the island of New Guinea where he received two Purple Hearts in combat battle! He was a total bad ass and just a huge mistake the Japanese made by picking a fight with him, and all his buddies of that generation 🇺🇸 #PearlHarbor #Honolulu #Oahu #Hawaii taken in Arizona Monument Pearl Harbor by @mtrant022

Approaching our last night on the big island of Hawaii, before setting out for the island of Oahu. This place is so magical with so much to offer the soul! Had the best time snorkeling off one of the Kona reefs. On our tour, our guide was explaining to us how Jerry Garcia was instrumental in supporting and protecting the coral reefs in Hawaii. With the resources of the Grateful Dead and the Rex Foundation, funds were donated to install permanent mooring buoys to protect the marine ecosystems and reefs from anchors crashing into them and destroying them. Pretty cool to hear and think I’m snorkeling 🤿 at one of Papa Jerry’s favorite dive spots! Anyways this island vacation has given us hurricanes, snorkeling adventures, cloud forests adventures, sound baths , beach adventures, and some relaxing pool time, and delicious foods. We have another tropical storm coming in this weekend which may turn into another hurricane which would be the cherry on top! lol 😂 Can’t wait for Pearl Harbor. Should be a pretty emotional day considering my Grandpap was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. Just taking this majestic place all in and so happy to do it with my family! ❤️ Here’s to more and more fun and adventures! taken in Waikoloa, Hawaii by @mtrant022
