I proudly present to you: Kastlers Distributed mode loudspeaker Ver 1. This type of speaker utilizes bending wave resonances in a wooden panel to create sound, like a guitar or violin.

Using this principle can create an extremely realistic and spacious soundstage which can normally only be achieved by very expensive hifi speakers, this especially holds true for acoustic instruments and voices, another added benefit is the near omnidirectional radiation pattern which aids the "intrument-in-the-room" feeling immensely.

If you are interested in reading more about this or even building your own you can check out the full design document & building plans linked in my highlights (: by @mtteos__
