Our COEPD faculty and staff came together for a productive college-wide meeting focused on Faculty Workloads • Evaluations • College-Wide Anchors.

2026 CAEP Awards Highlight: Check out the video 🔗👇
Marshall University in West Virginia is one of 31 providers that were recognized with the Murray Recognition at the Fall 2026 CAEPCon. 🏆💚

Dean @kellydbradley says she appreciates that Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation is not one size fits all. 👏👏 She says that in classrooms, teachers must be able to adjust to their students, and in preparing teachers a provider needs to be able to meet the specific needs of their candidates. She says CAEP accreditation and its emphasis on continuous improvement has made @marshallu a better partner to the communities they serve and allows them to prepare successful teachers. by @mu_coepd

Dr. Preece represented the College of Education and Professional Development and supported the Mountain Readers statewide initiative today with a visit to Wayne Elementary School in Wayne County! @waynecountyschoolswv

She shared the joy of reading with 3rd graders in Ms. Preece and Ms. Brown’s classes and kindergarten students in Ms. McMillion’s class! 📖✨

Dean Bradley joined @marshallupres & Marco along with @cabellschools Kelly Watts at Martha Elementary for the 📖Mountain Readers Become Leaders Kicks Off in Cabell County Schools!!! We loved joining our clinical students providing activities and reading to the elementary students as well! What a great Friday!

🍎Homecoming Giveaway Winner!💚
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our COEPD Homecoming Giveaway! We loved hearing your favorite COEPD memories and celebrating the people and experiences that make our college so special.💚

🌟Congratulations to our winner, Christa Navy!

One of her favorite COEPD memories was Dr. Seelinger’s class, where her class was told they would not receive an A.
Instead of discouraging her, it motivated her:
“This made me determined and I learned so much from her! (Dr. Seelinger’s lessons have) taken me very far in my career. Also, I got an A! :)”

Today, Ms. Navy, MU’17, is continuing to make an impact as a teacher at Cabell Midland High School:
•Collegium Musicum Director, •Music teacher - choir, piano, and stagecraft
•Serves as the WV Vocal Music Association All-State Chair

Ms. Navy continues to be a wonderful example of how the lessons, challenges, and relationships we experience in COEPD can stay with us long after graduation.🎓🍎
