In late December 2022, @stephan.v.berg.1 decided that the best way to reach Hartenbos for Christmas was to cycle. We all agreed, and thought it would be nice if he had some company.

Feeling confident that this adjusted “coastal” version of the @capecycleroutes #crosscape had been verified and improved by members of the @bikehubber community, we set off from @peregrinefarmstall amidst a pleasant drizzle.

A lot happened over the next 6 days, but in summary: @stroke_that_cat ran naked through the fynbos (cycling shoes still on), @stephan.v.berg.1 proved why you should always take an Afrikaans friend with you on a trip, none of my self-made sub-R100 bike bags broke, and @adamlintonjack said and did many things, but most notably nurtured a delicious helmet tan.

Maybe more images to come, maybe not.
