POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In early January, we had the opportunity to work with the @gate108.cc team to document one of their Cape Town experiences.

The event moved from early morning noble silence into movement, energy, and some truly spectacular views. This assignment was a great reminder of how special Cape Town feels through the eyes of first-time visitors.

We’re privileged to call it home and help share its stories with the world.

Images: @muck.sake

Always worth taking the scenic route home 🏡

We were rewarded with 2.5 hours of rugged beauty as we made our way through the Canyon and into Nababeep.

We said YES!
High Five is officially partnering with @jacobsen_kites

We’re beyond stoked for this next chapter. Nick is a legend of the sport and shares our passion for growing the kite community and spreading the pure stoke that kitesurfing brings!

Get ready, this season we’ve got some epic things lined up: demo days, downwinders and a few surprises along the way.

Stay tuned, the best is yet to come!⚡️

TOUR LE KAROO 🌵 STAGE 3 & 4
Montagu - Die Klubhuis 62km of scenic farm roads, complete with a "waterpoint" stop served with true Karoo hospitality. The group more than halved due to work responsibilities while the rest of us continued in the holiday bubble.
Die Klubhuis - Warmwaterberg 57km. After a hotdog braai and a soak in the hottub the night before, we tackled the final day—winding along the R62, stopping for brunch and a milkshake at Diesel & Crème in Barrydale, then continuing through scenic farm roads and even a game reserve before completing our 4-day loop at Warmwaterberg.

TOUR LE KAROO🌵STAGE 1 & 2
Warmwaterberg - Ouberg Nature Reserve 82km included a trip through Sanbona Wildlife Reserve where we spotted some Rhino, Giraffe, Kudu and other antelope, before we pushed against a proper headwind, and dropped halfway down Ouberg pass to the finish, where we were rewarded with cold beer and a plunge pool at Ouberg Nature Reserve.

Ouberg Nature Reserve - Montagu 28km started with a very steep climb followed by a rewarding downhill time trial into Montagu.

Many had to head back to work the next day, while a few legends continued on with Stage 3 & 4.

Andrew's new bikepacking #lankylemur went to the powdercoaters this week and I can hardly wait to see how it turns out.
.
Andrew's new frame sports some minor geometry differences from a standard Lanky Lemur. He wanted the front triangle to be able to accommodate a frame bag and so the seat tube was lengthened to allow this. To maximize the seat tube length without compromising on dropper compatibility I also decided to put the seattube slot on the rear as this requires less seattube to protrude above the top tube.
.
Andrew also opted for full internal evvyfing (I wish that was a real word - maybe it is now), as well as plenty of bosses for panniers, bottles and anyfing cages.
.
It also has a custom brass cutout showcasing Andrew's stylised initials. (I'm getting a kick out of these cutouts lately)
.
Not too many more sleeps Andrew! I can't wait to see what adventures you two get up to. Be sure to send postcards.

As Summer in Cape Town comes to an end. The Local legends who host, instruct and entertain the foreigner visitors, get to lift their heads out of the choas and enjoy the secret and empty playgrounds on our doorstep. We Joined the @highfivekite & @kitesurf_village crew on a wild mission of exploring some nearby mountains.

Crashes are all part of the game, it’s just about finding the right music to turn it into a victory dance instead 🎵 🤣

Thanks @jettbradshaw_ for always giving us the tunes, vibes and victory dance worthy energy💥
