Our NZ-made swim bags are in four new fabrics and are on the website now: spearmint, lilac, space and floral.

They're actually waterproof (I know that matters if you've been burned by a leaky one) and your child's name can be added on the front, so no more mix-ups at swimming lessons.

Which fabric would your kid pick?

It's funny looking back.

When Mr 16 was one, I was just trying to find a way to spend less time washing muddy clothes.

I never imagined that one idea would turn into Mud Mates.

Thank you for being part of the journey, whether you've been here for years or you've only just found us.

I'd love to know, when did you first discover Mud Mates? by @mudmates

Drop a 🙋 if you've been here for a while.

I recently went to my child's before school check and as a teacher I was stumped on what they were testing her for, asking her to write her name, she had no clue because it's just something I choose not to focus on. But play? Play is all we do, that's where the learning happens to help her with all the above, to be school ready. They go to school to learn how to read and write, so don't worry if your child cannot do those things yet, IT IS OK.

If your looking for intentional play ideas to get little minds thinking, check out @mudmates blog on their website where you will find endless valuable play ideas and so much more..

What is something you thought they needed to know before they started school??
