The whole entire cast and company of DEAD IN HERE!

Thank you to everyone who came to our first preview last night, this show has been a labour of love and this company have made it all the better, so it was brilliant to be so warmly received by our first audience.

It's opening night for Adelphi '63! 🎶

Here is Patricia, sharing her story of the excitement on the night, ahead of the opening night of this new production, written by Laura Brady and directed by Emma Finegan.

Adelphi ’63 is a fictional celebration of real events – the Beatles only performances in Dublin and the subsequent riot that occurred on Abbey Street. Blending new writing, history and music, this comedic two-person play journeys back in time to honour the resilience of joy amongst teenagers in 1960’s Catholic Ireland.

Here is Jimmy, speaking about his memories of the night, ahead of the new production Adelphi ‘63, written by Laura Brady.

November, Dublin, 1963.
Hundreds flock to see JFK in the Phoeno, the city mourns the dead of the collapsing tenements, housewives protest the Turnover-Tax and sexism is rife… but never mind all that.
Mary Connors has just won two tickets to see The Beatles, THE BLEEDINʼ BEATLES!
One catch – Mary’s ma insists she brings her cousin Brigid along. The girls set off at odds into a city that’s heaving with Beatlemania. A stolen bike, Brigidʼs burning secret and a riot on Abbey Street unites them with a new bond stronger than the love of any fellaʼs haircut.

Meet our absolute star of a stage manager @kaitlin_gadz ❤️

Kaitlin Gaddy is currently completing her final year in a BA in Stage Management & Technical Theatre at @the__lir Academy. Credits while at the Lir include The Mandate, Love’s Labour’s Lost, You Got Older, and The Curse of the Starving Class. Additionally, she has worked with The Drogheda School of Performing Arts on shows including Sister Act Jr., Pinocchio, The Wizard of Oz Jr and Into the Woods Jr.

Our wonderful movement director is @jaderoxanneoconnor 💃💃

Jade is an award winning performer, actor, singer & creative. After graduating on a scholarship from Millennium Performing Arts, London she began working with various directors, artists, musicians and theatre companies both nationally & Internationally. Most notably she is a long time collaborator with Catherine Young Dance Company as a singer, performer & writer. Shows include: Floating On A Dead Sea - National Tour Autumn 24’, State Of Exception & Welcoming The Stranger. She is also a published singer and songwriter. Jade is a performer in THISISPOPBABY’S award winning flagship show WAKE which premiered at The National Stadium in 2022 and has since gone onto the West End, London, Manchester’s Factory and The Sydney International Arts Festival. Most recently Jade was a recipient of a project award for her work Malibu Disco, directed by Wayne Jordan. Her work DANCEHALL was supported by the Arts Council Commission’s Award 23’, KFEST Music & Arts Festival & The National Folk Theatre of Ireland - Arts Council Ireland.
