The MRI scan lasted for a few minutes, and I could see my son. I was only scared because I wanted the procedure to end quickly so I coukd wrap him in my hands.

Now imagine, mothers whose arms are aching because they have been deprived the joy of embracing their children and keeping them safe. 😢😢😭

No words can fully capture the uncertainty that shadows our current reality.

It is heartbreaking that stories of abductions, insecurity, and fear have become so common, but we must refuse to accept them as our new normal.

Every child deserves to feel safe. Every parent deserves the peace of knowing that their child will return home. And every society owes its children a future free from fear.

We cannot become desensitized. We cannot look away. We must continue to hope, to speak up, and to work towards a future where no mother has to live with the agony of not knowing whether she will see her child again.

May respite come to grieving hearts. May hope prevail over fear. And may every mother waiting for her child find the joy of reunion.🙏🙏

Sometimes last year, I mentioned that this page has moved from @diaryofayoungpregnantmum to accommodating women in every season.

Hence, there was a need for a name change, but every idea I had did not sound right because I know the core of this page is motherhood.

The name @muminseasons came to mind one day while I was having my bath.😅😅😅 There is something about ideas being generated in the bathroom. I instantly knew this was it and I embraced it with all my heart because I know the call of this page is to embrace mothers in every season.

My motherhood journey didn’t begin with picture-perfect moments. It began with struggles I never imagined, from breastfeeding challenges to watching my baby battle sepsis and meningitis and even seizures.

I am glad I walked through that season and came out better.

I am no longer in that season of life, but I am still in the season of being a woman and walking through different challenges and finding clarity in all of it.

This space has evolved beyond my journey.

It’s for every woman
It is for YOU.
It is for your story.

Dear new mum, you do not have to prove how quickly you can return to your old routines.

Your body needs recovery. Your baby needs care. And you need care, too.🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Give yourself permission to move at a pace that supports your recovery.

Accept help, attend your follow-up appointments and speak with your healthcare provider about any concerns.

You are not behind. You are navigating a new season and that's okay.😍😍

The cares of being a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and every other role we play can sometimes rob us of maintaining a consistent relationship with God. But even in the midst of it all, God sees us.

And He is calling us into a deeper fellowship with Him, right in the middle of all these responsibilities.

He keeps saying, “I see you. Come as you are; I will take care of you.”

I hope you yield to this call. I also hope your eyes are opened to the revelation of how God sees you, so you can come to Him not in performance but in peace, partnership, and personal fellowship with Him.😍😍

Preparing for a baby can easily become a long shopping list of clothes, nappies, bottles and other essentials.

But have you thought about:
📌Who will support you when you need rest?
📌Who will you call when feeding becomes difficult?

Have you considered your own recovery and emotional wellbeing?🤔🤔
