We’ve spent World Immunization Week reflecting on the power of vaccines. To close the week, we’re releasing the conversation that ties it all together.

This isn’t just a video for today; it’s a toolkit for every expectant mother and every family. From myths to medical truths, Maureen Ideozu and Dr. Gift Tom-George cover it all.

#𝙈𝘾𝙛𝙤𝙧10𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨: 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝟎𝟎𝟗

While waiting for what seemed like an eternity, I prayed very deliberately about my undergraduate experience.

I asked God for lecturers and course mates whose impacts would leave me 100% improved.

Prayers answered! 🙏

Three years after graduating from secondary school, I gained admission into the University of Lagos and this was my study group.

𝐆𝟖 was nothing like the regular study group.

We identified outstanding strengths and abilities in each of the eight of us and supported one another:

There was 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐝𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐢, the scholar who bagged steady A's and graduated with a first class.

There was 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐀𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐞, the Poet whose poems made waves.

There was 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐭𝐢𝐞, the outstanding fashionista and model.

There was 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐳𝐞, the Christian Fellowship president who in final year became president of the joint Christian fellowship on campus.

There was 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐤𝐩𝐮, the welfare expert who served in that capacity on multiple levels.

There was 𝐄𝐛𝐮𝐧 𝐀𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐢, the paramilitary who rose to a senior rank at Man'O War, Unilag Chapter.

There was 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐦𝐢 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞,the sister's cordinator, both at her campus fellowship and in the group.

Finally, there was 𝐙𝐨𝐞 𝐎. 𝐊𝐩𝐚𝐤𝐚, the debater and orator.

Considering our unique talents and abilities, we coined a name for our group -
𝐆𝟖: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭

These guys went over and beyond in supporting my public speaking journey on campus.

One particular instance stands out: I qualified to represent our Faculty at the University level debate and these course mates of mine stayed up with me over night at the university chapel.

The next day, sleep starved, they showed up to cheer me!

Kai! God answers prayers and He would answer every undergraduate who sincerely makes requests of Him.

Thank you 𝐆𝟖 for the labour of those days, see what has become of it. 😃

𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭: In later years as a professional event host, I had the rare privilege of being the 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝘾 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙆𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙙𝙚, 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡.

Oh the joy!!!!

Mothers are dying in childbirth. Leaving behind babies, husbands, futures. And most of these deaths? Entirely preventable with the right care.

On National Safe Motherhood Day we are joining the global call — Equity in Maternal Healthcare, Leaving No Mother Behind.

We provide free antenatal care, delivery packs, medications and essential support to mothers who need it most. Over 1,000 women served and the work continues.

What happens when women who have been silenced are finally given space to speak?

Last week we found out.

Tunga Maje x Maitama Kubwa, FCT. Two days. Two communities. One conversation that needed to happen a long time ago.
