The BEST adventure this weekend at @roadfordlake_activitycentre in Devon for #SUPBIKERUN - A triathlon with a difference with stand up paddle boarding, mountain biking and trail running!. Gutted that strong winds meant it wasn’t safe for the SUP leg as this was probably what I had trained hardest for (especially as I only stood up for the first time a couple of months ago! The mountain bike and trail runs were epic! Such a great event and so well organised! Looking forward to more adventure racing! And to make it even better I was 6th lady finisher and 2nd in my age group! 💥 💪🏽

I’ve always fancied doing a tri-athlon but I don’t like road biking, not a massive fan of road running, and although I love swimming, the idea of getting elbowed in the head in the swimming bit wasn’t for me. Then I heard about @supbikerun a triathlon…but way loads cooler! A 3km SUP, 13km mtb and a 5Km trail run! Now that’s a bit of me! One slight problem was that up until a week ago I couldn’t actually stand on a stand up paddleboard! This weekend with the help of @the.orangutan_ I think I cracked it! Thankfully we had the lake to ourselves, apart from a few swans! And we were the only ones camping too! Such a perfect wholesome weekend! I have until July to perfect my technique and maybe get a but speedier.
