It took us a little while to process what happened at the @MunichBackyard.
So many loops, long days, tired legs, loud cheers, quiet moments and countless memories in between.
Here is our recap of a weekend we won’t forget anytime soon.

This crew.
What a weekend.
More than 1,000 people on site, long days, long nights, countless tasks - and at the heart of it all: YOU.
You showed up, stepped in, thought ahead, improvised, supported, and helped wherever you were needed. Without you, not a single loop would have been possible.
What meant the most to us was seeing beginners, experienced athletes, and supporters carry this weekend together. Everyone played a part in creating the atmosphere that made the Munich Backyard what it was.
The messages and feedback we have received have meant so much. So many participants told us how welcoming, helpful, and well-organised the crew was. That is largely down to you.
This is the community we want to keep growing - and we will do everything we can to give you an even better event in 2027.
Thank you for your time, your energy, and for making this weekend what it was. We hope to see you again very soon.

Still trying to take it all in.
This weekend was more than loops, kilometers, and hourly starts. It was early mornings, long hours, tired legs, loud cheers, quiet moments, and a community that kept showing up - again and again.

We are overwhelmed by what this weekend became and deeply grateful to everyone who was part of it.

Throughout it all, @suunto was by our side as our official watch and timing partner - helping runners keep track of every loop, every kilometer, and every hour out there.
A strong partner for a weekend that gave us more than we could have imagined.

A few hours later, and we’re still overwhelmed.

What a weekend. We laughed, we cried, we cheered, we struggled, we celebrated. It’s hard to put into words what these past days feel like but it was amazing.

The energy, the emotions and, most of all, the people made Munich Backyard truly special.

Our friends and family, crew, volunteers, creators, partners and everyone who stepped in, supported, solved problems, cheered, carried, prepared and simply made things work - thank you.

There’s so much more from this weekend to come. Stay tuned.

Official 42 Loops. 281,65km.

An unbelievable performance from start to finish. Loop after loop, all the way to the end and it felt like there was still plenty left in the tank.
He even did a little extra round. 43 loops. 288km.

Carlos rings the bell on loop 42. He couldn’t finish it.
Nicolae can barely believe it’s finally over and that he made it.

What an unbelievable performance from both of them and from every single person who stepped onto the loop this weekend.
