highlighting Brazilian excellence through @stefhanycardosooficial (more videos to come 🥵😽🌟)

now... if the original song is a meme in the US, imagine how big of a meme THIS cover is for us... and still, once again, Brazilian joyful creativity is strikingly powerful and goes much much beyond, saying that having fun goes hand in hand with fulfillment and self-esteem 🔥🔥🔥✅💓💘💓💘

Obrihade, Stefhany Absoluta, por cantar pro mundo sobre auto estima e diversão 💘🌟💘🌟 Ps.: eu amo sua música Filha do Rei!! 😽🥵😽🥵💝💝💝 by @murimoving

Wrapping up our time with Muri Marinho!
@muriri2

During their residency at Hillhaus, Muri led workshops for participants of all ages, introduced us to the joy and magic of Forró dance, and hosted an artist weekend open to the public, featuring a 30-minute solo performance!

We’re so proud of everything they accomplished during their 3-week residency, and we can’t wait to see where their next journey and upcoming project take them!

Project Showcase | Muri Marinho

At the end of Muri Marinho’s art residency, they hosted an immersive artist weekend at Hillhaus, featuring a dynamic schedule of events that included live performances, a Forró workshop, film screenings, and a drawing workshop. During their 30-minute performance, Muri pushed the boundaries of traditional performance art, guiding participants through various spaces, both physically and emotionally, while exploring themes of self-identity, gender, and the power of spontaneous expression.

In addition to the performance, Muri maximized their time at Hillhaus by facilitating three self-portrait workshops and three Forró dance workshops, both in-house and open to the public. We are excited to see how Muri’s journey and work continue to evolve!

Here are some highlights from their Performance!

Learning to play, to let go, to see yourself differently—that’s the kind of serious work we’re into. 💛

We started by drawing spontaneous lines and turning them into creatures—an exercise in loosening up and embracing creative freedom. From there, we let go of realism and reimagined ourselves however we wanted, using mirrors, memory, and our spontaneity to guide us.

Muri also shared some of their research on the science of play and why making room for spontaneity and creativity matters so much for our well-being.

Huge thanks to our wonderful instructor Muri for leading such a thoughtful, well-planned workshop—and to everyone who showed up with curiosity and courage.
