Two years ago, I had a brain bleed and nearly died. I had to be “helicoptered” from Denton to UT Southwestern. I was on my way home from the hospital after a 12 hour surgery on August 1st to remove a brain tumor that had grown on my brain stem for 10 years. These two years have been the hardest years of my life. After 19 months of therapy, love and support from my family and friends, I have learned to talk, swallow, eat, walk, and drive (locally). Time and hard work has aided my body to recover. I’m not the same person I used to be; it’s a part of my new life that requires my living with traumatic brain injury. F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote, “there are no second chances,” I beg to differ! Thanks to all for your prayers, well wishes and love.🧠❤️ by @murphtrav
