The seniors have officially completed their 4/5 rotation!! 🎉 With just two months left, they’re racing toward the finish line! I am so proud of this group and the compassion, dedication, and hard work they have shown throughout their education and in caring for their patients. To our Invasive Cardiovascular seniors: this one is for you. 🫀✨

As you step into the final stretch of your last semester, I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible patience, grit, and determination you have shown throughout this journey. You have weathered every challenge, stepped up to every standard, and grown into truly exceptional clinicians!

Over the next week and a half, these seniors will officially wrap up their Structural Heart course —welcoming our wonderful medical directors and downtown MUSC physicians for inspiring guest lectures, paired with creative hands-on projects where this cohort showed off their genuine artistic talent illustrating and modeling complex congenital heart defects! Blending rigorous hemodynamics with creative anatomy brought these rare pathologies to life in the best way possible. Utilization showing they have officially connected the complexity of this program and mastered its rigorous content.

Watching your transformation from day one to now has been an honor. I am beyond proud of the progress you’ve made, the dedication you bring to the lab, and the compassionate specialists you are becoming but above@most the patient and grace you have shown me.
Walking these months with you is truly bittersweet, but the cath lab world is about to gain some of the finest techs out there. Finish strong—we are cheering you on all the way to graduation! 🎓🫀💪🏼

Taking cardiac education to the cutting edge! 🫀⚡️

Our senior Invasive Cardiovascular Technology students have officially kicked off their Structural Heart coursework—and this week, they received a masterclass from the best in the field. Our very own Medical Director, Dr. Foster, joined the classroom as a guest lecturer to break down the complexities, procedural nuances, and clinical decision-making behind TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement).

Having direct access to physician leaders bridging real-world cath lab cases with advanced classroom theory is an invaluable part of the student experience.

Even more exciting? Our program is currently the only Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program in the nation with a dedicated, standalone Structural Heart course. As interventional cardiology rapidly evolves toward complex structural interventions, our seniors are graduating with specialized knowledge and hands-on preparation that sets them apart across the country.

One week ago, our Invasive CVT students officially wrapped up an intense and incredible summer semester! 🫀🙅🏽‍♀️✅

From mastering complex concepts in the classroom to getting hands-on experience in clinical rotations, these students have put in the hard work every single step of the way. A major highlight this term was diving deep into their Peripheral and Endovascular course - expanding their clinical skillset and understanding for PAD that will further prepare them for the modern day cath lab.

As they enjoy the rest of their break before returning this fall, they are stepping into a massive milestone: their VERY LAST semester! 🎓🎉🥲

We are so proud of your dedication and can’t wait to see you finish strong. Let’s make it the best semester yet!

History made - Congratulations to EP!!!!🎓🫀🥳

This past Saturday marked a monumental milestone for us as we celebrated the graduation of our very first EP pioneer class!

This incredible cohort faced a million curveballs along the way, but they tackled every single challenge with true grit, unbreakable resilience, and fierce determination. Not only did they pave the way, but every single one of them is the first of their kind for the entire state of South Carolina—and they all passed their registries with flying colors!

We couldn’t be prouder of this trailblazing group and everything they have already accomplished. As you step out into your careers, we look forward to watching your future unfold.
