This semi-precious hoard is on the website, and you can choose your central amulet. It doesn’t have to be a Reliquary Hand. 💭 If you want to create a personalised piece with me, you can join me at an event in person. If you’re shopping online, you can request some swaps / omissions / particular colours or stones to become part of your party. ✨ 🌈

I will stop making my Charm Necklaces at the end of this year. At least, in this current format. They’re too costly and too laborious. 🙈 Whilst they filled my creative cup for a while, I’m turning to other things. 🕊️ 💫

I’m obsessed with the images we took outside the studio, and this clutch of cast-in-place Treasure Rings upon Cora’s lap of vintage red silk. 🔥 💎 🌹 Who’s coming to try on the rings this Sunday?? It’s rather fun to put a load of them on and pretend you’re a Tudor, a Georgian, or just a boss. 😎
And who’s keen for them to go online very soon?! 👀

Most of these pieces are made from raw golden brass, but I also make them in recycled 925 sterling silver & sometimes in solid gold. Ooooooh aaaaaaah. 😮‍💨 💫 🤩

LONDON. 🙏 Thank you so so much for your love & support on Sunday. I was so full of nerves before the market & you gorgeous people showed up to peruse my jewels, patiently waited for me to personalise pieces with you & you have generally really encouraged me once again. ❤️‍🔥 I learned on Friday that I didn’t get the Arts Council funding I so hoped for & sometimes this feels relentlessly hard to peruse. I feel like a hamster caught on a wheel, relentlessly trying to sell my jewels to keep this creative business going. It’s hard to find the time to just play, take risks, research artefacts & develop the new body of work I’ve so long dreamed of. 🥵 I’ll make it work, some which way. 🤔 But it is rather hard sometimes.

Anyway, this Sunday was very special. I’m so grateful for all of you & I’m honoured that you came to see my work & I outside the @dulwichgallery @dpgevents & that you bought pieces to wear & keep on your person. Thank you so so so much. 😘

Some of this week’s creativity… it was a lovely full week!! 🥰 🤪 I attended a few events in Bristol this week & in this stash of images you can peep the @connectionsthroughwood exhibit at @centrespacegallery . I was enamoured by a carved frame & oil painting by @oliver_dorman & the woodwork made so carefully by the cohort of wood artists exhibiting 🎨 🌳 I’d met @maker_adammorgan at a few events & I was very happy to be able to pop in & peruse the talents ✨

I attended an RWA painting course by @emmaburleighartist on Saturday & it was fantastic. It reignited my love for watercolour - this was my main medium for a while before I started marbling & getting deeper into the jewellery I long dreamed of making. I thoroughly enjoyed looking around the Open Exhibition. 🥵 My friend @amberbardell is being shown!!! 👏

I visited my pal Emily @mahikakala who makes wonderful hand dyed natural fibre clothes here in Bristol. I’m in love with the Olive Seren jumpsuit. 🕊️

I got cuttings from my pals garden @wildingminds 🌹 🍃

I claimed a super cool tattoo from the legend @malcolm_macqueen 😎 so very chuffed with my rusty brown Mesopotamian Leopard. 🐆

And beautiful Emma @hausdahlia_london helped me at @dulwichgallery @dpgevents & we got to hang with @sarahjboada of @sanders_of_oxford after a very hectic & busy market day. I’m so grateful to them & to you lot for your support & turnout. Woweeeee. 😘

You can explore this hoard in London today, with your eyes & your fingertips at the @dulwichgallery @dpgevents Makers Market. 🌀 🐉 🪽 These pieces are also on the website & I’ll be bringing them back to @thefromeindependent next Sunday 4th October. 📯🍂

I will be looking for a seasonal helper very soon. 👀 Because I’ve made a lot of work, hoarded a lot of vintage chains & reclaimed gemstones & it’s time to move it through & on to you. 💫 👐 There’s lots of pieces to photograph, list & hopefully sell on in the next mega SAMPLE SALE. 💥 Keep an eye out for the ad in the coming weeks. Could you be my elf friend?! 🥸 😎

Psa this is the last Magic Dragon… 🐉 💨 I cannot get any more of these splendid blue dragons. They’ve been great. I’ll miss them.

LONDON! 📯🏛️💫 I’m packed up & ready for you! Are you ready?! 🤠 I’ll be at the @dulwichgallery @dpgevents Makers Market on the green tomorrow (Sunday 27th) from 10am - 3pm. 🌞 🍂 I’ve prepared some new one off Amulets & I found my chunky silver treasure !! Woooohoooo. The Georgian-styled Riviera Bracelet is coming south of the river. 💎

I’d really love to see you there, if you’re able to come on down.

I’ve also been thinking a LOT about how to get the next huge sample sale online & about getting some help in for that massive task. The jewels will go online, I’m just a slow squirrel & I’ve been making a hoarding a lot of treasure. Hehehehe.

Anyway, tomorrow I’ll be in London! Then I’ll be at @thefromeindependent on Sunday 4th October. It looks like we’ll be / we are in Autumn ! 🍂 🍁 🤯

A set of 3 new Charm Necklaces, which I carefully & slowly curate & make in East Bristol. 🖐️✨ I clutter these 9ct Rolled Gold watch chains with reclaimed & recycled semi-precious gemstones & an assortment of hand-carved histories. 🏛️🐚🏺🐉💫

The amulets are cast from Raw Brass & the stones are wrapped & attached with 14ct Filled Gold details. ☄️

Amulets: Tall Amphora, Ionic Column, Sun Star, Amphora Amulet, Atlas, Venus, Nike & Ex Voto ✨
Mostly carved from my university bedroom (c.2019-2020) & reimagined with colour & texture more recently 🪄 🌈 🌀

When the sun hits just so, and we start seeing stars in the stones… ✨ the sparkle from the synthetic gem looks synthetic - but it ain’t !!! 🤩
I’m particularly fond of this Georgian inspired Treasure Bracelet, which I made early this year. 💎
It’s inspired by 18th century riviera necklaces & bracelets, which would feature large hand-cut diamonds set into silver (to add extra light behind the diamonds). They’d glow as the candlelit caught the hand-cut facets. 🤤 🕯️ 😮‍💨

Thank you @caitiemorag for coining this bracelet the Crazy Bracelet & capturing my work so beautifully in the sun outside the studio, & thanks to @corajkirk for being a patient lil angle & a bundle of energetic joy modelling the bling. 🪽

Stack of the week
Number Thirty-five

A mixed metal stack with semi-precious stones in shades of green and brown, mimicking the seasonal shift from summer towards autumn. With rings chosen from the Bristol Creatives Exhibition

We started the ring stack with the twisted gold trilogy ring by @rosalynfaithjewellery . A Fresh, modern take on the traditional three stone ring silhouette. Set with an ethically sourced Teal green Sapphire in the centre and two sparkly brilliant cut diamonds either side. Set upon Rosalyn’s iconic textured, twisted gold band.

Next we chose @musee.roo and The Bristol Crocodile ring. Medieval inspired, chunky silver signet ring finished with rich green enamelling and a solid gold Crocodile swimming on top. Inspired by the legend of the Bristol Crocodile and set with two Emeralds for the eyes.

Finally we topped off the ring stack with the two ring set by @slab_jewellery . Inspired by a visit to the medieval Lord Mayor’s Chapel, hidden just off College Green, rich with ancient artefacts and dedications. The set features a glowing cognac diamond flanked by two golden skulls paired with a spikey, gothic fitted band. taken in Diana Porter Contemporary Jewellery by @musee.roo
