A special dress for the lovely @musee.roo โค๏ธ What a treat it was to make this one! The Fig style in Tomato silk organza, with custom embroidered brooches (the Roo lion and M.R initials), adjustable ties, and deep hem.

Weโ€™ve recently crossed paths as weโ€™re both makers in the south west. Roo frequently trades in Frome which is now where I live, but Iโ€™ve been a fan of her work for a long time- my first purchase was a Phalloi ring ๐Ÿ† โ™ฅ๏ธ and Iโ€™ve lusted after a charm necklace for ages ๐Ÿชฌ
Making friends who make beautiful things and trading with them has got to be one of the best parts of what I do โฃ๏ธ Feeling very lucky and inspired.

I also made a Pickle style but didnโ€™t take any photos ๐Ÿฅ’ ๐Ÿ™ƒ and I havenโ€™t picked what Iโ€™d like from Rooโ€™s lovely hoard yet- will share more when I do!

If you havenโ€™t drooled over Rooโ€™s jewels yet you have to check them out @musee.roo to die for ๐Ÿ’”

Itโ€™s always a bit scary asking another crafts person if they want to trade but thankfully @musee.roo was so down for it and we had a really lovely time together. Bring back trading and bartering โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’ซ
I will be opening my books for Feb โ€˜27 asap and would love love love to do more pieces like this. I tattooed these in coloured inks on Rooโ€™s request and love the warmth and tones in them.

London, I feel like I lived an entire lifetime in 7 weeks. And maybe thatโ€™s the beauty of this city - the way you can catch the tube and be on a totally different planet in 45 minutes, the way world-class-EVERYTHING is at your fingertips always, the way you can be whoever the fuck you want - and no one bats an eyelid.

I left two weeks ago and Iโ€™m still digesting this trip. I was able to go slow cause I was house sitting the whole time, but somehow it still felt like a whirlwind, and somehow I still have a hundred things on my โ€œmust-seeโ€ list for next time.

Thank you for a fantastic summer, London - Iโ€™ll be back โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

On Mondays the Jubilee Antique Market in Covent Garden hosts a bunch of antique jewellery vendors. After 7 weeks of moving it to next week in my calendar, I finally went and got a couple of sweet pieces.

Partial solar eclipse ~ aka Bring Your Colander To The Park Day

I did a couple of glass classes with @songartcraft - my overarching intention for this whole trip is to learn as much as I can - and these are the first of what I hope will be many up-skilling workshops I try on this trip. I did the lampwork glass flowers and kiln formed glass workshops.

Iโ€™m always getting asked how many rings I actually own, so I finally got them all out in one place and counted them ๐Ÿ’โœจ

My collection is such a mixture of pieces Iโ€™ve collected over the years. Some are from amazing small businesses, some are inherited, some were presents, others came home with me from holidays and obviously there are a LOT of vintage treasures in there ๐Ÿ’˜

I love that I can look through my rings and remember exactly where so many of them came from or the story behind them. Iโ€™m a firm believer that the perfect ring collection is never actually finished ๐Ÿ’ซ

Come and have a nose through my jewellery box with me and let me know which one youโ€™d steal ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’
