Portland artists, there's still time to apply for funding for your next creative project! 🎨

The Regional Arts & Culture Council (@regionalarts) is accepting applications for its Portland Arts Project Grants through October 28.

These grants support a variety of creative disciplines, including music, and offer funding for eligible artists and arts projects in Portland.

Thinking about applying? RACC has several resources to help you prepare:

📌 A recorded information session covering application categories, evaluation criteria, and tips for submitting a strong proposal.

📌 Program guidelines and FAQs to help you understand eligibility and application requirements.

RACC encourages applicants to get started early rather than waiting until the final days before the deadline.

📅 Application deadline: October 28

How do you actually get booked for a festival? 👀

Join us this Monday for a conversation about what goes into festival booking, what festivals can offer artists beyond the stage, and why they matter to Oregon’s broader arts economy.

We’ll hear from December Carson of Sisters Folk Festival and Jason Fellman of Harefest, Sterling Talent, and J Fell Presents, with MusicOregon’s Missi Hasting moderating the conversation.

Come with questions, connect with the music community, and get some insight from people who know the festival world from the inside.

🗓 Monday, October 5
🕕 6:00 to 8:30 PM
📍 Alberta Abbey, 126 NE Alberta St, Portland

See you Monday!

We hit the road. We listened. Now we're keeping the conversation going.

As MusicOregon expands beyond the Portland Metro area, we want to better understand what music communities across Oregon actually need.

If you're a musician, venue operator, educator, music business, organizer, or otherwise part of your local music scene, take a few minutes to complete our statewide survey.

Your feedback will help us prioritize and tailor future programming around the realities of Oregon's different music communities.

📣 And don't keep it to yourself. Pass the survey along to the people in your community who should be part of the conversation.
