Some stories are told in gold thread, wrapped in tradition and grounded in grace

#pageant #pakistan by @muskanistani

When they can put you in a box, they can capture your essence. And I was always meant to be free.

Pakistani women are audacious as ever, ambitious like no other, and graceful beyond words. How grateful would I be to represent my people and actually do work that benefits our communities. The glam, the walk, this pageant world is new to me. But the work that comes after is not. I have always supported the communities I have been a part of and my platform is to support housing insecure communities with the resources they need to find stability. I can promise that I will continue that mission even if I don’t win, but if I win I will have a platform to do it on and a community to support me with my goals. If you’ve made it this far, I’d love it if you would follow and share to support me through this. by @muskanistani

From pageant season to wedding season 💍👑 So special getting to celebrate one of our girls on her big day. Love that the friendships we made through Miss Universe 🇵🇰 go beyond pageantry ✨ افشاں کی بارات، دوستی کی برسات 💕 by @muskanistani

What would the little girl you once were be proud of today?

The pain you’ve turned into purpose? The dreams you’ve dared to chase? The person you’ve become?

We’re often so busy becoming that we forget to celebrate how far we’ve come.

Here’s your reminder to look back with love. For who you were, who you are, and who you’re becoming.

Now it’s your turn: What would your younger self be proud of?👇🏼

Featuring six women who reminded us of the beauty in that question 🤍

Women don’t just deserve a seat at the table. We deserve equity in it.

Had the honor of moderating the Wealth, Business & Ownership panel at the Build Your Own Legacy Summit hosted by @muslimah.inc and @fatimaa.younus alongside four powerhouse women: Samar Tariq, Laila Khan, Soukayna Ikhiche, and Maesha Eva. 🤍

From investing and entrepreneurship to homeownership and generational wealth, we talked about going beyond earning money to building something we actually own.

Here’s to women who aren’t just breaking barriers, but building legacies. by @muskanistani

This is not a post about religion. I’m sharing this for the other younger mes and anxious hearts looking for a home. This took me a long time to understand and felt like I was drowning. As a child we are given rules and told if we obey them then the world will love us and everything will be perfect. There comes a point someone closest to you will hurt and disappoint you. When your safety net will feel unstable and the external source of validation will be ripped away from you. When none of that is there, who are you?

For me, I shifted my validation away from people and instead looked within to how God has showed me to understand my purpose in the world. For example, if the outcome is with God and I’m rewarded for the intention then I must detach from the outcome. If people think I’m unworthy, but God told me my soul has innate worth then I believe it. It’s not that I don’t love people or things or goals. I do. It’s just that I love people as a vessel of God. I do it for the sake of Allah. When I think of financial struggles and my future I remind myself my job is to put in the action, the outcome belongs to God.

And most importantly when I feel alone, I remember that God is closer to me than my jugular vein and He has never once let me down.

So if you feel like your life is walking away from you and you are seeing this, remember to be confident that whatever awaits you, you are not going through it alone. by @muskanistani

Last month I flew out to the Philippines to compete for the Miss Universe Pakistan title and placed 3rd RU. Now that the process is done with I can start sharing all the BTS of the journey. This was my first ever pageant and something completely outside of my area of expertise as a finance girly working a corporate job in New York City. I’m a big believer in collecting experiences and getting comfortable with the unknown.

My friend @narina.ny spoke highly about @shahzadpod and said that his designs may be right up my alley given the jackets are both professional and Pakistani both. I showed up to his studio to introduce myself and felt like I was meeting a long time friend. Zorsay is about empowerment, creativity, and sustainably creating pieces that are more than a one use costume for weddings but rather something to wear with pride everywhere.

@missuniversepakistan thanks for giving me a reason to make more friends and learn even more about my roots in the process. by @muskanistani
