The year was 2091, at the dawn of the cyberpunk era. In the neon glow of District 09, the Red District thrived—a wretched hive where bodies were commodities, pleasure was currency, and flesh had an ever-rising price.

She had no name, only a number burned into her skin—the mark of ownership. She existed as nothing more than a tool, passed from one cruel hand to the next.

Then, one night, the whispers spread—human parts were in demand. Unregistered bodies like hers were worth more stripped for parts than left breathing. They came for her while she slept. Cold hands. A rag over her mouth. Darkness. When she woke, it was to agony.

They took everything—her limbs, her eyes, her dignity. And when nothing was left, they dumped her mutilated body into the scrapyards.

But she did not die.

A rogue bio-engineer, scavenging through discarded cybernetics, found her. Maybe it was pity, or maybe it was the challenge of resurrecting someone beyond saving—but he rebuilt her. Not as human. Not as machine. As something in between.

Wires entwined with flesh. Reinforced exo-frame where bones once were. A neural core embedded deep in her skull, forcing her mind to adapt to the war-machine she had become. The transformation was agonizing—her mind rejected the steel, the weight of it crushing down on her fragile humanity. But something stronger burned within her.

When she awoke, she was no longer the girl they threw away.
