London, Westminster's archive of Opór. [prompt word suggested by @musumaaa — cave exploration] 19 March 2051, 18.18 pm. My dear comrades of Opór, I address you with a heavy heart, for I am the only survivor of the team that ventured into the depths of the main hive of Belarus. The Obcy, a horrid race of extraterrestrial beings, have entrenched themselves within the heart of the desolate wasteland, a constant reminder of the horrors that have befallen our beloved planet. As I descended into the depths of the hive, I was greeted with a putrid stench, a mixture of sulphur and oil, that clung to my nostrils with an unrelenting grip. The walls dripped with a strange substance, a mixture of mud, alabaster, and fire, which I later learned to be the very substance that nurtures and empowers these grotesque creatures. I saw them, my comrades, consumed by the insatiable hunger of the Obcy, their bodies writhing and pulsing in agony, as the monsters fed on their very flesh. The sound of their screams still haunts me to this day, echoing through the corridors of the hive like a twisted symphony of death. As the hours ticked by, my body began to age and wither away, as though time itself had become warped within the hive. Gravity itself seemed to be distorted, pulling at my very being with an unrelenting force that threatened to tear me apart. I saw their breeding, a twisted parody of the miracle of birth, a beautiful yet horrifying sight that will forever be etched into my mind. They are not mere monsters, my comrades, but a force of nature, an unstoppable force that seeks to consume everything in its path. And so, with a heavy heart, I emerged from the hive, the only survivor of my team. I cannot express in words the despair and hopelessness that consumed me as I gazed upon the panopticon, the monument to the destruction wrought upon our world. But I must not give in to despair, for we, the collective of Opór, stand united in our fight against the Obcy. We will not let their insatiable hunger consume us, nor will we allow them to destroy what little remains of our world. Yours in solidarity, Oliver Johnston.
