[SOLD] SCHEHERAZADE - a painting inspired by richard sikens poem of the same name + other works of his. the painting considers what keeps us moving when it feels like ones head is aflame. the figure clutches their memories, which are old and tangled but still clutched, and fruit as nourishment, which feeds them but is the same color as the flames. fire has a duality to it, its all or nothing, can be destruction but also rebirth. what is it that keeps you going through the dark night? what do you clutch close and keep moving with? what is your favorite Richard Siken poem?

hi all! my names jordie, and im the lil feller behind the saintroach name. ive been writing music since covid started as a way to process my feelings and traumas, and i never really thought people would be too interested in hearing my sad acoustic guitar songs. i started this page just to have as a reference for my own use, so i wouldnt forget how to play the songs i wrote. and then i was pleasantly suprised by how many people came and ended up staying.

ive played close to ten shows now, all from the kindness of my community inviting me to come play, which is so humbling in the best way. throughout those shows people kept asking where they could listen to more, and now i finally have an answer for them :)

ive written dozens and dozens of songs over the years, and ive collected my favorites into three different albums, im referring to them as 'demo' releases for now since theyre just on my phone in my bedroom and my friends basement.

'jupiter return' is a collection of songs about healing from trauma, about the bright path ahead.

'wrong end of the blade' is mostly comprised of songs i had written for a lover (*cough* situationship *cough*) and a few others about other lovers, and id consider it a "breakup album", though lots of my work has to do with the tragic end of connections.

'bleeding heart' (formerly called 'poems of personal despair', which should tell you a lot) are songs that have to do mostly directly with abuse and mental health, issues with both i have many of.

in addition, there is 'armor', an EP length release that is b-sides for wrong end of the blade, and 'demos' which has been out for a while and is comprised of what was in my bandcamp already before starting this project to seperate my work into albums.

so anyway, thanks for being here and i hope you enjoy the soundtracks to your next cry sesh. feel your feelings folks. 💙
