this song is called tourniquet & its about addiction and its costs; it damages your body, it damages your trust in yourself, and honestly the worst part was it damaging my relationships. i wrote this song about someone i lost in the process of trying to lose myself. i used to self sabotage everything because i hated myself and didnt think i deserved good things. i thought i was doing people favors but all i was doing was hurting them and making myself feel more alone and giving people a reason to hate me to feed into the sick cycle of shame and guilt that kept me using. #diy

hi all! my names jordie, and im the lil feller behind the saintroach name. ive been writing music since covid started as a way to process my feelings and traumas, and i never really thought people would be too interested in hearing my sad acoustic guitar songs. i started this page just to have as a reference for my own use, so i wouldnt forget how to play the songs i wrote. and then i was pleasantly suprised by how many people came and ended up staying.

ive played close to ten shows now, all from the kindness of my community inviting me to come play, which is so humbling in the best way. throughout those shows people kept asking where they could listen to more, and now i finally have an answer for them :)

ive written dozens and dozens of songs over the years, and ive collected my favorites into three different albums, im referring to them as 'demo' releases for now since theyre just on my phone in my bedroom and my friends basement.

'jupiter return' is a collection of songs about healing from trauma, about the bright path ahead.

'wrong end of the blade' is mostly comprised of songs i had written for a lover (*cough* situationship *cough*) and a few others about other lovers, and id consider it a "breakup album", though lots of my work has to do with the tragic end of connections.

'bleeding heart' (formerly called 'poems of personal despair', which should tell you a lot) are songs that have to do mostly directly with abuse and mental health, issues with both i have many of.

in addition, there is 'armor', an EP length release that is b-sides for wrong end of the blade, and 'demos' which has been out for a while and is comprised of what was in my bandcamp already before starting this project to seperate my work into albums.

so anyway, thanks for being here and i hope you enjoy the soundtracks to your next cry sesh. feel your feelings folks. 💙

luv jordie

PINK VARNISH? yea, i'm doing that. i had the idea to paint in blue and yellow and go over with neon pink tinted varnish, unifying and warming the contrast into oranges and purples while keeping that blue and yellow vibe. this is just coat # 1, so come by @the_literaryapothecary 's plant swap, potluck, art show and music show all in one at @spread_art this weekend 2-5 to see this experiment of a fox and several other of my works- everything will be for sale! come check out the tunes, the food and grab some plants too!
