We were so excited to celebrate this milestone with our twins, which is why we siblings went all out for them. We were looking forward to celebrating many more milestones with them, never expecting that just two months after their graduation, we would have to say a final goodbye to one of our twins.

Our twins are victims of gun violence. Soni laid down his life protecting his brother and other innocent bystanders at a funeral from an active shooter.

We knew Soni was preparing to serve a full-time mission, and we were looking forward to celebrating that milestone with him. Instead, we had a farewell mission for him as he was called back to our Heavenly Father.

Soni, we miss you and love you. The way you were taken from us should never happen to anyone else. We will hold those responsible accountable for their senseless actions. You lived a good life twin. We will continue to demand JUSTICE for you and Vita.
